nice clip. have any of you guys looked at the wow cheats pack from warcraftbotsXinfo (replace X with .) ? it is impressive, i just down loaded it. its got totally everything inside it, gold guides, bots, hacks, glitches as well as the newest arena glitch. i perhaps shouldnt tell people about it however at the very least it gives you all a fair opportunity to dl it before i own you all!
well i got the full pack of DLC songs, it's about 350 blocks but it wastes the storage space on my Wii, is there a way to use it directly off a DS-Card?
I've been wondering how DLC works on Wii games. Does the data incorporate into the save data or something, or is it a seperate file or what. And can it be moved to the SD Card with what the 4.0 Update features brought us?
The song pack data becomes it's own file, it's not mixed with the save file. :)
Since Samba didn't ship with SD support, if the songs are on there, the game can't read them, it's gotta be on the internal memory, but thanks to the 4.0 update, that isn't as big of an issue anymore.
Ah, thanks for the quick response, I get the whole thing with games needing to be SD supported. Do you think any game can have DLC or do the games have to be built for it? Unless Nintendo creates a patch channel and the game loads with hooks or something.
LOL, that sure would be awesome, but this game can't do anything like that. If you want Sonic songs, you'd best hope that Sega puts out a Sonic song pack, I'm hoping they do.
Do you guys remember the maracas for the origional Samba De Amigo? Well I seen a cool acessory for the wii remote that look like the top of Amigos maracas that you can put on top on the wii remote to give it a more Samba De Amigo Feeling.
Yeah I'm looking forward to trying that out myself, although in order to use the SD card function, you gotta have about 200 blocks of free space open, then the game uses that to swap song data to and from the SD card and internal memory.
Yeah, it's great, isn't it, it's just hard to find the space. Hopefully that storage fix will be shown off soon, I'm hoping for info at the October media conference this week.
thanks when i get samba de amigo i'll give my friend code. oh and i am pretty good at music rythm games not trying to be like the freaks who have no live (not you) but thanks
When I first made the jump from normal to hard, I got totally destroyed, but after experimenting with different play styles, I finally found the sweet spot, and I was able to beat Career on Super Hard. All I can suggest is try moving your wrists more then your arms, make sure you're pointing in the correct direction, and just keep practicing. Oh, and try to not go cross-eyed on some of those crazy note patterns, lol.
I have a question though - do you have an SD card for your Wii? I'm running out of blocks on my Wii and I'm wondering if purchasing one will allow me to store WiiWare games/Virtual console games/Wii channels (those take up the most space) on the SD card.
I want to get the song pack, but I don't have enough blocks on my Wii to download it.
Yes I have an SD card, and yes you can use it to store wiiware, VC games, wii channels etc... The drawback is that you can't run anything off of the card. It's still a good thing to have in your Wii to back stuff up, and you don't need to visit the shop everytime you wanna re-install something, so I'd suggest getting one and moving some stuff over since you want the songs. Get at least a 1GB card. Wii can support upto 2GB. :)
Umm, if by access, you mean can you play them, no you can't. Any games/channels on SD card can't be played, they must be on the Wii. Having a SD card is just a way to swap your data on and off the Wii without the need to re-download your stuff again.
Because the SD card can't play games saved onto it, it's the whole reason why people are crying out to Nintendo for a real fix to the Wii's storage problem.
Honestly, I think Samba is the better buy. TFU will only last about 6-7 hours for 1 playthrough. The stages are all very linear, so once you beat it, you've seen pretty much everything, and there little replay value.
Samba has endless replay value. Career mode will take you a good few hours to beat, you've got all the songs in quickplay, the new Hussle dance mode, 2P multiplayer, minigames, DLC songpacks, online leaderboards, unlockables, just tons of content. :)
Also, to update everyone, I've played a solid 3 hours of Samba today, finishing the hard career and the first part of superhard, so I'm just about ready to deliver my final review of it.
Nice video, and thanks for the tutorial. But I still can't get to the "downloads" section, I keep getting the message "An unexpected error occurred. Pleas try again later.". I'm trying for quite some time now, and nothing. But I still got a friend code, and can connect to the internet with no problem with other softwares. Well, I'll keeo trying, and if you wanna add a brazilian Samba de Amigo friend, just add: 2492-6916-2694 (yours is already added, evilc)
Hmm, that's very strange. Mabye the downloads aren't available in Brazil just yet? I really can't say. If it persists, I suggest e-mailing Sega and tell them about it.
Thanks for adding my code, you're the first to do so, lol. I added yours as well. :)
I think each video you do gets better and better (in regards to the post by G0ud). Pretty cool that it's true DLC-- I guess GH:WT is doing something similar? I haven't really kept up with that. Anyways, I look forward to the review, Evil C.
OH yeah, so does it like say that you unlock a new song for like quick play, or just pretty much you beat it you get it. And yeah I love your review I think you did very good, even though you didn't reherse.
Now with the song packs, are they just songs that fit with the game, or songs that people know, and like?
Yep the game lets you know when you unlock a new song during career mode. YOu can also unlock other things like different maracas sounds, which is nice.
Well a lot of the music in the game is very latin-themed, so expect a lot of fast, high energy beats to show up as DLC, but the original did has some music from some Sega games, so don't be surprised to see a Sonic song, or just mabye even the Mario Bros. theme. I would love that. :)
pretty good review, I'm actually planning on buying this game a little later today and looks pretty good so far, I just hope a Song pack with better songs comes out soon >_>.
You can unlock songs right in this game? its like DDR, I mean not the downloadable pack online, I mean like in the game can you unlock songs, I'm thinking about getting it.
Yes, you can unlock songs for use in the 1 and 2 player modes by going through the career mode and completing the song challenges there. The songs you unlock can then be played in modes such as quickplay.
From what I know, the official maracas will cost around 15$. If you can actually find 3rd party ones, they may be cheaper. I didn't see any for sale at the EB Games where I bought my copy. Amazon lists the release date as October 14th 2008, which is strange since I thought they'd release alongside the game. Sorry I can't be more specific, Sega really hasnt been clear on the details of the maracas.
Bottom line, expect to pay at least 10 bucks, but no more then 15
After putting in a good couple of hours into this game yesterday, I'd say that yes, the game is a lot of fun. I'm a fan of Guitar Hero as well, and this is a really fun alternative to that and Rockband if you're looking for something different and unique.
I still have a lot more to play and do before I can accuratly review this, but in terms of the game being fun in general, I can definitely say that it is. :)
Thanks for commenting, and thanks a lot for subscribing. :)
Heh, its Ironic you say that, because I hadn't really rehearsed before making this and because of it, It caused me to say umm a lot more then when I do rehearse, and the fact that I have a stutter only makes it harder for me to get the words out right.
About it being a waste, to each is own my friend. I'll only support DLC if I feel its really worth it, and REAL DLC, not that on disc BS. I also happen to like those 3 songs in general. :)
I guess there's no way to transfer DLC from a Wii to another if you change it ? (mine will probably die one day or another, I've GPU problems)
(beside asking Nintendo, of course)
