  • this band hits me where it hurts T.T

  • math rock is candy to my ears

  • *sniff* *sniff* I'm gonna miss you're beautiful voice Stu :''(

  • @NDay628 It's weird. It's so, unique. It perfectly suites his genre. He'd be terrible in any other genre but had created his niche and it is beautiful. I'll miss him ;P put his ass in Tera Melos. They need a singer

  • @GroundedSaugage Nick Reinhart sings in tera melos

  • @MiklZz I meant a good one ;D

  • Remember when this vid had under 10,000 views, dang. But s for Stu leaving, there is seriously no one better to replace him than Henry from Pennies, mhm.

  • Remember when this vid had under 10,000 views, dang. But s for Stu leaving, there is seriously no one better to replace him than Henry from Pennies, mhm.

  • Most of all I've learned to hate that I'm still stuck on you

  • LOOOOVVVE TTTHHM

  • First words that came to mind when I heard this song: IIIIIIIIMMMMMMM INNNNNN LOOOOVEEEEEE!!!!" (ttng joke)

  • Well I think he sings good. As its a love kind of song its good to be a littol winey.

  • It sounds like they sould have put more reverb on his voice :l

  • Seriously los the singer, these guys may be as talented as battless, but the vocals are just way too whiny like, lose him or make him experiment like the guests on battles, or the barking style in the first foals release

  • @1Chancho2 Or they could just not do those things. Never good to fuck with greatness.

  • @1Chancho2 they have lost the singer :(

  • this band is cool, theyre not awesome as algernon cadwallader but this band is cool

  • @crazyshit8 man... I hate comparisons

  • each member of this band is so incredibly tight, yet what they are playing is unreal in difficulty... At least, that's how it seems to me, though I am an amateur guitarist. I mean come on though, that drummer is laying down the sickest fucking grooves man!!! and that fill the guitarist does at 1:52 sounded sweet. great vocals, awesome bass line. Totally buying their album Animals.

  • How on earth hav I only just discovered this band....

  • I'm in love!

are the 3 words I hope to hear next year.

  • this is good stuff

  • these lyrics are just beautiful..

  • Wow their sound just brought on a big ol' wave of nostalgia...

  • It's like the band Owl's instrumental musicianship, with the vocals from American Football combined and had This Town Needs Guns as a baby =]

  • I wonder if the bassist played that OLP on the album.

  • @spynae Yeah, I noticed that in the earlier videos, but at that point I think they switched to their current bassist, Jamie, who had played a Highway One Fender Jazz, and now a Kramer something or other.

  • druming is ggoooood

  • the singer reminds me of malard(sp?) from tool

  • @zendofzwrld maynard*

  • omgpop, anyone?

  • I totally just bought the album because of all these songs on youtube. I love TTNG.

  • Sort of sound like Toe with vocals.

  • @muzacInmyBlood it totally does

  • @muzacInmyBlood definitely

  • this is what music is all about!

  • they always have stong endings

  • wish the video had as much creativity as the song. oh well

  • wish the video had as much creativity as the song. oh well

  • brilliant time signatures..wish have more effect in it

  • Comment removed

  • @Starky727 someone has no real friends...lol. sad.

  • akojonante

    ^o^

  • my favorite ttng song. 2:49 to the end is the best part of any of their songs

  • Cool alternative progressive experimental band. Nice sound and unreal guitar, thumbs up

  • Me thinks people tend to ruin good music by getting too genre obsessive.

This Town Needs Guns are talented musicians playing good music....just enjoy it.

  • And then the drums stops... and go back to reality.

  • I am in love with this town. are there other bands with the same style? i've been looking but i can't find any and they just don't have enough music yet haha.

  • @ninjasteetack Loads, check out bands on the Big Scary Monsters record label. 'Colour' were really good, until they broke up but some of excolour formed another band called 'Tangled Hair', they're brilliant. Check out Maefield Setting too :)

  • I like this band thanks to omgpop

  • Such a unique band. Especially in terms of guitar playing!

  • @kyletramirez Just throwing this out there, but all of the videos to the right of your comment are videos of This Town Needs Guns, except for 3.

  • 5 people should have a panda sent to maul them...jk

  • i wish it wasnt so short i want more panda!

  • This band is definitely remarkable.

I've listened to the Animals album more than any album on my iPod.

I've never heard anything like them. I hope they come out with another album with songs likes these.

  • @kyletramirez You are the only person left in the world with the capacity to be truly original. Clearly. Link us to your band, the band that's so incredible that everyone in the world likes it. So fresh that nobody has ever heard it. So perfect that noone need listen to anything else, ever again!

Link us to it and then you can rant about creativity, but until then don't rip on great musicians.

  • @ShadoTheBrainTheif hang tight workin on it. and this band kicks ass!

  • @kyletramirez Dude lick a dick and hop off bro you can never make music like this cause your a sad story gone sour and dead so shut the fuck up

  • @kyletramirez Nice try, but this isn't progressive at all. This has verses and choruses, and is just far too structured to call progressive.

  • @ninjafrank1337 its still experimental in style man, the term progressive doesn't strictly mean just not structured any more

  • @3xarch No, progressive is specifically about structure. And it doesn't mean not structured, it means having a mostly non repetitive structure. Experimental =/= progressive, although they frequently go hand in hand.

  • @ninjafrank1337 well if you wanna be like that, fuck it I (and a lot of other people) often misuse the term proggy in your eyes then.

  • @3xarch I mean, if by progressive, you mean innovating musical style or treading on new ground, then you'd be better off saying experimental or avant-garde.

  • @kyletramirez Another person trying to ruin anything cool to anyone else. Haha, what is it with you people?

But alright, it's cheell. You got me, I've been looking at the big picture ever since I read this comment!

  • @kyletramirez Thanks for poking your ever-so-great and enlightening nose into this band. We've all now realised exactly where we went wrong. How the fuck could we possibly listen to something so unoriginal? Wish I knew about music that was REALLY underground.

  • @kyletramirez xD lol@"this music is extremely unoriginal"

  • @kyletramirez lol douchebag XD

  • Its like Anthony Green singing for Sharks Keep Moving (Before Minus the bear came tobe) Love it.

  • @CGJDMCB7

    yup

  • These guys were amazing live :')

  • zankyo

  • man i liked this song.... but after looking of the lyrics my head exploded... what a great song.... (helps being able to relate a great bit)

  • i LOVE this song..need to check out this band more.

  • This is worthy to go on my ipod, finally a good band :)

  • last night, a laid in bed for an extra hour with this song just running through my head.

  • so i fucking sucked at playing this on OMGPOP because i was too busy listening to the song.

    good stuff.

  • this song is badass when your high <3

  • @Vane777 youre SO right =) (said the guy with a lit j in his mouth)

  • I'MMMMMMMMM INNNNNNN LOOOOOOOOVEEEEEEEE....

    with this band.

    Saw them live in chi-town.

    Jaw dropped.

  • anthony green's long lost brother!!!

  • @Lunchboxx45 It's so amazing to see an Anthony Green fan here. :D

  • @Lunchboxx45 yeee, sorta like cousins with johnny craig too lmao

  • :) great job..awsom music..i ♥ it

  • I think it's cool how the drums are sped up because you could play this song a lot different on drums. Great drummer.

  • OMGPOP has introduced me to TTNG. :D They're absolutely awesome.

  • yeah its definately a PRS. i think the singer has a custom 24 or 22

  • I found it from a website and it's kinda cool and relaxing song

  • it's weird that the voice seems off from the rest to me, but I can't stop listening it

wanna hear more of them now :)

  • omgpop

  • this music is just unbeleivable

  • found these guys working at clemson radio, fantastic!

  • My favorite thing about this band is how they finger pick in the same pattern almost every single song...it's so catchy.lol.

  • @youvegotmysong It is kind of hard to diversify finger picking patterns lol.

  • @youvegotmysong they are two hand tapping.

  • @jdrew06 Not in this song though.

  • @jdrew06 Not in this song though.

  • does anyone know what guitar he plays? i have quite a rare patrick eggle and it would make my day if he played one too. i think i recognise the headstock

  • @frogwhip by the looks,maybe a prs McCarty.not too sure.

  • i like i like

  • The lyrics are amazing. He puts you right in his shoes.

  • Also check out the band Mimas if you like TTNG

  • best song off of animals.

  • Cats and Cats and Cats is sorta similar to TTNG

  • PIGLET!! are amazing, there is more than lava land. they also have another 3/4 tracks kicking about the place. if i was gonna recommend anything it would be 'Pennines' if you like the general chilled feel of 'This Town...'

  • listen to algernon cadwallader if you dig this!

  • Algernon Cadwallader are pretty damn fine.. However, I can only recommend a band called Piglet if you like this. They only released one EP I think.. anyway - Piglet: Lava Land EP.. absolutely gorgeous

  • Wow, very good, first time hearing them, will definitely be checking out more.

  • this band is amazing, how great their music is to me cannot be put into words

  • I love this I wish for tabs

  • i do i think

  • They have a tab book for sale on their website.

  • i absolutely love this song/band

  • awesome band these and bombay bicycle club best talented british bands around right now

  • AMAZING

  • The "chorus" at 1:32 is just beautiful.

  • these guys are musical genius. end of story. for sure seeing them both nights they are in chicago.

  • @GoodOldAl7 When are they in Chicago?!?!?!

  • @Simmonct well if the dates on their myspace blog are true then they will be in chicago march 27th and 28th.

  • i could listen to the first 10 secs over and over again.

  • one of the best bands i've ever heard, hands down! :)

  • i love this band. their music is so amazing and beautiful

  • Sounds like toe, but with a vocalist.

  • yeeee toe is the shit

  • @lyricpiano no it doesn't

  • i didnt want it to end

  • Comment removed

  • more like the new minus the bear kind of. these guys are fuckin unreal when your sober and even better when your high

  • @Pantera411 these guys are much different than mtb

  • @Pantera411 i thought the same thing when i first listened to them

  • these guys better come to america or i will be very disappointed

  • dude, they will be. just check out their website. they have a blog about coming to america next year for a tour. and i can hardly wait.

  • my friend showed me this band yesterday and i can't get enough of them

  • It's supposed to sound vacant and apathetic.

  • genius.

  • This band has always reminded me of the band American Football, but TTNG is WAY more fun.

  • Just discovered these guys. Love the way the drummer keeps the beat driving while the guitar and bass have this loose feel to them. It all just blends together well.

  • Just discovered this band today. These guys are awesome. Hopefully they make enough hype to get over to the States.

  • i was talking to the singer and he told me theyre coming next year only east coast though :)

  • sweet. they should try to play at bonaroo that would really boost their success in the states.

  • awsome band love every song from their album my favorite is zebra so simple yet the lyrics say allot its just amazingly awsome :) WoooOOoooooooooooooOOooooot TTNG!!!!!!

  • this band is so unique but completely adorable , highest playcount spots on my itunes ( requires like 400 plays ) are dominated by this band (Y)

  • I can't wait to get this album!!! I just ordered it. I felt compelled to get the cd just cause it's such a work of art. I wish they would come to Texas, or America for that matter

  • Vocalist kinda reminds me of Ben Gibbard- just a little bit. Cool band tho.

  • @darocker212 I think so too!

  • vvvv this man knows what he's talking about vvvv

  • I love TTNG due to it having more that of a math structure which they decide to "give up solo's" in exchange for a more complex song overall. The use of complex rythms but yet the reuse of them in the transcurse of the song is refreshing. Similar yet different to the basic structure of jazz

  • i like how TTNG ignores proper song structure. There are few choruses. Its like jazz where the music just keeps pushing forward and never feels old.

  • Sounds a bit like foals, i like it.

  • I really don't see any resemblance to Foals at all.

  • Chill out, that was just what it reminded me a bit of.

  • Hahh, I am chilled out. Everyone thinks differently. :]

  • Now here's a guy that isn't chilled out! *points at DonBello*

  • Agreed

    just listen man listen

  • Foals? What you smoking?

  • foals arnt nearly as talented

    not by a LONG shot

cant wait for their new album though

  • It's very similar to early foals songs

  • its way better

  • kinda like a fast american football, i love it

  • definately :)

    love american football

    & cap'n jazz

basically everything the kinsella bros have been involved in

  • sucha awesome song. so hard to take that i might break, im discovering that theres so much to consider worthwhile, but most of all i learnt to hate that im still stuck on you.

  • You are today's featured musician on Audio Showcase (audshowDOTCOM)!

  • rorshach3E.. i already found their lyrics.. hehe! tnx though!^^,)

  • sorry, can't miss an opportunity to be captain obvious smartass. glad you found the lyrics though

  • y0u can say that t0 me again.. im such an idi0t reaLLy.. hhehe..

  • where could i find Lyrics for some songs of TTNG.. its hard to find lyrics of them songs...tnx..:)

  • Google?

  • Just an outstanding band can not go wrong with them. Seeing them live in Camden Barfly this Wednesday with Pennines, Brontide and Colour who i all highly recommend. Especially Colour check 'em out sound a bit like these. Amazing.

  • tnx benjula... but why? is there a reason why the "name" focused on the animals?. . . ^^,)

  • ive noticed that some of their songs are entitled by a name of animaLs? why?^^,)

  • because the album is called animals...

  • they gave their songs animal names b/c they couldn't come up w/ any formal names and wanted to avoid using things like "track 01" etc... it's on big scary monsters website for their profile so look it up.

  • its Clever idea! heheh.. thanx..,

    XxfillexX.. now i know. . . much love!^^,)

  • no problem

  • This is a fact: They did not want to bother themselves with giving them well-thought-out names and it would be a pain to remember the title when touring so they gave em animal names. No meaning behind it, really, just to simplify things.

  • It sounds a little like American Football. Very good.

  • very strong and nice drumbeat. . . this band is good! ^^,)

  • this band is so good, there is nothing bad you can say about them. each member compliments each other, all the parts fit together well, at no point in any of their songs is there anything that sounds bad. it is impossible to say anything bad about them.
