  • WISCONSIN

  • MISS WISCONSIN REPRESENTS!

  • I live in lacrosse and lacrosse beer is shit. But if you live in Wisconsin you have to come to Oktoberfest, it's insane!

  • Yes, Lewis Black, you are correct.

  • LOL this is very accurate. at the company christmas party this last month, i wanted to do a shot of jaeger and a couple people wouldnt do them with me so i called them pussies. then i heard this LOL wow.

  • Holy fuck i love lewis black, perfectly describes wisconsin.

  • God, do I love my state :)

  • @LadyMurray Aina Hey

  • "How do you know when it's new years?" Holy fuckin' shit!

  • 414

  • I love my state! Wisconsin is the best :)

  • MILWAUKEE WI, DRINK UP BITCHES!

  • @EvilPanzer my dad grew up in Milwaukee, he said the city constantly smelled like hops from the brewing factories :)

  • @sillyjontag321

As a Milwaukee native, I completely agree

  • Uh...yea, the reason why LaCrosse beer is cheap beer is because it's shit beer. You need to go to a place that has some decent microbreweries to get the good stuff.

How someone could even think that LaCrosse > Madison is beyond me. If it's so great than why are all you motherfuckers coming here for Halloween and Mifflin every year?

And did someone seriously say that Racine has the best bar scene...? LOL!

  • @TehSmellulare - Spotted Cow from New Glarus is the shit. If u disagree, you should move to Iowa.

  • True story: Traveled to S.F Cal. went to a bar and after ordering my 2nd drink the bartender made mention she noticed a mid western accent. After my 6th drink in 2hrs, she asked, "Are you guys from Wisconsin?" Yah how'd ya know? I also heard rumor that when the Packers were in New Orleans for the Superbowl, the Packer fans actually drank some bars out of beer. I wouldn't doubt it.

  • WI is the only state where the bartender looks at the clock at 1:50am (2am closing time) and say, "You want one more, you have time yet."

  • I really, really want to vacation in WISC this or next summer.

Problem: Wife is hard to convince. How - other than keeping her away from this video - do I convince that we should rent a car and drive all around the state?

  • @7855waldo I live in Green Bay, WI. Take her to Door County. if you want any info please look it up. Or email me at jonnyj1313@hotmail.com. Door County is i think the best place to be in early june or early september. those times are to avoid all the Illinois people cause it gets crazy. plus if your wife is a wine drinker there are lots of free wine tastings with lots of award winning wines. Please trust the Wisconsinite

  • @jonnyj1313 - This is

  • @jonnyj1313 - Jonny, this is greatly appreciated - and "the Illinois" people advisory is valued.

I have nothing against them - hell, I don't know anyone from Ilinioss - it's just that we've just ended the annual 4 BILLION daily tourist infestation at Rockefeller Center.

We ourselves also impress people the same away - we're the "aways" say the tourists - when we visit Maine.

Its illegal to be FROM anywhere, I think.

Go Packers (1 minute to go, vs the Lions).

  • @jonnyj1313 I agree, I live in GB too and Door County is by far my favorite place in WI.

  • America's Douchiest Colleges, how did UW Madison come out?

  • @siouxfan1000 lower suicide rates

  • Is it me or does he sound sorta drunk in this video?

  • @TheLast2nd well he is in wisconsin and hes not a native! trust me i live in green bay, WI and have since birth. lol

  • I grew up in Manitowoc/Two Rivers and I SWEAR to God, the streets looked like this:

    Church..Bar..Bar..Bar..School..Bar..Bar..Store..Bar..Bar..Bar...

    You get the picture!

  • @vickiloy LOL LOL

  • @vickiloy Perfectly describes my small town.

  • @vickiloy i love Two Rivers, it has some great disc golf courses and some great shipwrecks just a couple miles off shore as well.

  • one of my coworkers had just moved here (Green Bay) from St Louis and was totally giddy in the liquor store. He said he couldn't buy a case of bud in st louis for the price he paid in WI. I said the beer tax per 12 oz in WI is 5 cents, it's been that way since 1969. Before '69 it was 2 cents and when they raised it people threatened riots and hanging politicians.... in stead, they just sucked it up, went back to drinking and having a good time. ;]

  • I find it hard to believe Milwaukee can rival New orleans in terms of being impossible to remain sober. But living in Milwaukee, just the thought of it, does make me want to drown my troubles in booze and feed dollar bills into the juke box and think about how someday I'll get out of this town. I stand corrected.

  • @YourDogIsDeadHAHA Yes but in WI you are probably not going to get stabbed, shot, mauled, run over, or wind up in a back ally with your kidney removed or half a liver. trust me im from green bay, wi but just moved to LA for offshore work and been to new orleans thats just too much even for a wisconsinite.

  • Hello my name is MrBeavisBeavis ...... I am new to your state and it sways...............

  • he's right, I didn't realize it till I moved away, but you don't find brandy anywhere else but wisconsin.

  • @quam0940 while im sure you may notice its absence in your part of the country. wisconsin isnt the top consumer as a whole or per capita. (california and minnesota.)

  • Big Ten Championship (Wisconsin vs Michigan State) leads to beer shortage in Indianapolis.

Pub Indy owner Gordon Cocke said his place had never been busier.

Same thing happened in the 1970's when UW ice hockey fans drank Boston dry.

  • @bigapplebucky Same thing happened when we went to our first Rose Bowl. I know people who went. There was such a shortage they were knocking on peoples doors asking to buy their beer LoL.

  • Two weeks vacation in Wisconsin is now officially on my "Things to do before I die"-list.

  • do a google search for "where bars trump grocery stores"

    'nuff said.

  • Fact: There are more bars then churches and grocery stores combined in WI. oh and on another note...the bears will always suck

  • @akennelly1120 If I could thumb this up 10 times I would.

  • Im a native. I love yall, but this place isn't for everyone. I don't think drinking on that level is something to celebrate(by drinking more). Sure, outsides look at us for a week or a 5 min vid and think its funny and cool, but to live here and see that drinking ALL THE TIME..

Like i said, these are my roots, and I have unconditional love for yall. But im happy to be moving somewhere warm, and conscious.

I had some crazy ass nights though you wouldn't believe, i'll miss it.

  • @nelsondln I go to Michigan State University.. America's number 1 party school. So I can really relate to what you mean. You're definitely spot on, I like drinking, and it usually sounds fun, but when you actually go through it you kinda get sick of it.. A lot.

  • @TheLast2nd When did MSU become the number 1 party school? I too go to MSU, and I know for a fact that we get out drunk by CMU. That is not to say that we don't do alright, just not best in the country.

  • I love Wisconsin and everything about it. Proud to live here and if you don't like I don't give a fuck. Take your weak ass to Maui

  • I love this...Born and raised in this great State...Dont plan on leaving anytime...My fav to drink is Whiskey...We used to go out as kids and find a field and drink to our little hearts desire...but we always had a designated driver...Yes we were responsible....We were young not stupid...I love this great state...Go WI Go...Oh and of course...Go Pack Go

  • im from Wisco and i'm listening to this drinking Wild Turkey 101

  • Born & raised & still live in Wisconsin. When I went to UW-Oshkosh friends and I used to get a shot of rotgut whiskey & a beer for a quarter at a bar called Beaners...I don't drink now, but when I did, people from other states marveled at my capacity, and most people I knew drank just as much....

  • @MrThegamer1001: haha nooo when they pull you over the first question is have u been drinking? Lol

  • In Wisconsin when the police pull you over they don't give you a ticket they give you another beer

  • Wisconsin Represent!

  • Hey folks..proud to grow up in La Crosse WI. Lived on east coast, west coast, Arizona. What this man says is true. And "bar street existed, tho noone called it that. George street changes names to 3rd str, then South Avenue, then Mormon Coulee rd...about five miles. But around 200 purveyors were in a 2 mile stretch of that. Heheh..check the people in front of you in the grocery line...on a Wednesday afternoon...see what they're buyin'. Hey, come smell our dairy air...welcome!

  • Cali cut 4 Wisconsinites off at 2 pitchers a piece, we had to show them our license to get more, to prove our drinking lineage.

  • LaCrosse is where the most people on 3rd. St. applaud Jaeger.

  • @siouxfan1000 responsible adults.

  • @siouxfan1000 PERSONALITY! :D

  • @siouxfan1000 The breweries that get your stupid underages drunk.

  • @siouxfan1000 two insanely good football teams

  • @siouxfan1000 Hills.

  • Win. 3-beer lunches are the norm for me. People CANNOT handle their beer in other states. /Milton

  • Couple good stories. While Stationed in Italy, my dad and his girlfriend came and visited. They drank a local bar (mostly military patrons) out of their Cuban rum. A few years later, while vacationing in Myrtle Beach, Dad ends up on the other end of the bar giving Korbel Old Fashioned Sweets. While in Las Vegas at a pizza contest, we get crushed with a guy from Philly, he doesn't make it to the contest the next day, he says, "WTF is wrong with you guys? I must be a pussy, cuz I can't hang.

  • I Don't Get Drunk, I Get Awesome!

  • I remember when I was a young teen, I found a copy of Playboy that my dad had hidden not so very well. In it was an article listing the top ten party colleges (yes, I read the articles.) I looked down the list and absent from it was UW Madison. I was shocked until I read the asterisk at the bottom of the list. It said something like this, "We have not included the University of WIsconsin Madison because this is an amateur ranking, we regard them as professionals. That says it all.

  • @mattoman2010 you think thats cool, johnny carson once said that if you couldn't actually be in ireland on st. patty's day, the next best place to be is Oshkosh, WI

  • no matter how old i get this bit will never get old with me

  • I LOVE being from wis-fuckin-consin!!

  • if your from Wisconsin and you want to enter a drinking contest in another state they don't let you compete.. i love how everyone else already knows we win :)

  • REPRESENT!!!!!!

  • FUCK YEAH WISCONSIN, GOD DAMNIT this is so true.

  • So THAT’s why those criminal terrorists still rule the US. The voters are simply DRUNK!

  • i love my state :D

  • Lewis Black is GREAT...this is all very true...Im born and raised in wisconsin....i went to UW-Madison (wisconsin for all out of towners) and everything he said is true...the old fashioneds...the jagers...its real up here...and we are proud...we dont even have the most duis per capita...just shows we know how to drink.....so get excited wisconsinites...and dont ever let anyone tell you youre an alcoholic...we are PROFESSIONALS

  • Go Wisconsin! Lol, he speaks the truth. Lol.

  • I'm from Wisconsin and he's right people from other states wish they could drink like us

  • @horsey05 If you're from Wisconsin - you should probably head to Illinois. If you're not from Wisconsin, you should really drink more.

    I'll have 2 - just for you.

  • I'm going to Wisconsin !!jaeggar and a shot !! lol

  • I live in South Milwaukee and when I first moved here, I will never forget the litanny of bars block after block, after block . . .i love Wisconsin. Good people here and the variety and deliciousness of its microbeer is unparalleled

  • @icthruu4evr

I don't know about Carlin's stance on Lewis intellect but I do know that Carlin liked Lewis comedy. He says so in an interview that is on youtube. I can't remember which one it is tho.

  • Too true. Every corner has a 'family bar.'

  • Actually, it just seems like the miles in Wi are long when you're walking them with a jag on. LaCrosse, WI's Third Street has bars on each side of the street. Besides, the person meant bars in a mile stretch, not miles. Obviously he was drunk when he posted it. Which proves the point. Stop in at Chapter II when you have the chance! Good people, good drinking, good pool!

  • Drinking in WI right now...

  • We get it, people here drink a lot. Don't need to go on and on and on. Not too funny.

  • @Chaosangel267 Don't take it personally. I'm descended from the Irish, and we drink a lot and people make fun of us, too.

  • @deosullivan3 Because people in Wisconsin drinking beer is such an important issue.

  • @Chaosangel267 Actually, it might be more important than it appears at first blush. If people in Wisconsin drank less and paid more attention, maybe they wouldn't elect as many fucktards to their state government.

  • @Chaosangel267 You need another drink. Less thinkin' and more drinkin'. Wisconsin is a great state!

  • You know it's New Years when you drink with a hat - haha so true.

  • Ha, I moved from Wisconsin to Chicago for college, and was deeply unsettled by the lack of bars there. There was a bar on the same block as my highschool, and there was a street with half a dozen bars on the same stretch on the way back to my house. Everything he says is true.

  • Wisconsin beer tops anything, I just purchased 50 bucks worth to take back with me to Detroit when I was visiting Madison. Having lived there for a couple years, Lewis Black is dead on about WI. GO BUCKY

  • raised in IL I thought we were heavy drinking alcoholics then i moved to WI and upped my game.

  • This is true on so many levels.

Viva 3rd Street in La Crosse!

  • @colslax La Crosse stinks you bunch of purple wearing faggy Vikings fans

  • @braunie124 Really? La Crosse is pretty boss. And even as I live in Vegas currently, I still miss those La Crosse days!

  • Looks like 15 fibbie's or mud ducks out there.

  • is this from the show in milwaukee? i mite hav seen it

  • 15 people obviously don't know how to have a good time.

  • Hurley

  • 15 FIBS dislike this video

  • hate to break it to you WhiteSugarFive but it's not cheaper... in american dollars.. LOL

  • Wisconsin? Come up to Canada, our beer is better and cheaper. Go anywhere and will cheer for yagr!

  • 14 people are from Illinois.

  • for 14 people, this not for them, not for them.

  • I'm a Michigander this makes me want to take a trip across the lake to Wisconsin. Sounds like they keep with their German heritage over there.

  • Jägermeister is a strong (70-proof; 35%) liqueur flavored with herbs

  • Mifflin Block Party baby...thats where all the drinking happens in college

  • Wisconsin: Out Drinking your state since 1848!

  • @tru420weedhead i saw that t shirt in land o lakes and thought it was the greatest shirt ever

  • I'm proud to say I'm from Wisconsin.

  • Why is third street in La Crosse called 'bar street?" Because at one point it had the most miles in a one mile stretch of road than anywhere else in the country.

  • @drdansir2002 Technically, "the most miles in a one mile stretch" that is just one. Are the miles in La Crosse longer the miles in other places?

  • @joybuzzer HA! Woops. Most "bars" in a single mile stretch. :P

  • @joybuzzer i think they meant that we have the most "bars" on a one mile stretch of road haha (im from La Crosse)

  • Comment removed

  • on bar street your drunk, think

  • @joybuzzer I think the length of the mile is directly proportional to the amount of Jägermeister you have had.

  • @joybuzzer Yeah, I didn't get that either.

  • @joybuzzer

actually, the miles in La Crosse would have to be shorter than other places for them to achieve having the "most miles in a one mile stretch"

  • @MrSeabass1991 depends on how you look at it. I just figured their 1 mile stretches were longer than 1 mile stretches elsewhere.

  • @joybuzzer

it doesn't depend on how you look at it... because the "one mile stretch" has to stay consistent for comparison purposes. we'll let m represent the miles in the stretch, and M represent the stretch itself. for the statement to be true, m > M. because M is a constant of one, m must be larger than one, meaning that more than one mile must fit into the stretch.

  • @joybuzzer i think your snappy comeback failed sir. Mrseabass has a point, although i think what he was trying to say is that third street had the most BARS in a one mile stretch of road than anywhere else in the country.

  • @drdansir2002 Give him a break. He was probably drinking when he posted that comment.

  • Lol yeah, pittsville is in the middle there chief.

  • Wisconsin is the shit party every night we can drink till we throw up

  • Stevens point (smack dab in the very center of Wisconsin) holds the world record for most bars in a single square block. Our city square in 1998 had 26 bars! Too bad the economy took a shit and a bunch of them closed. Now we only have like 15 in that same square block...

  • @swpfmn1 Pittsville is "smack dab in the very center of Wisconsin", not Stevens Point.

  • unbe-fuckin-lieveable!

  • Here in wisco were not alcoholics were professionals!

  • Shit, in Wisconsin they write up an underage drinking citation with your birth certificate, just fill out the details when they catch you later. Saves worlds of time.

  • i love wisconsin im proud to be a wisconsinite

  • We have been out drinking your state since 1848

  • moonshine!!!, Jack daniels, hey also remember the old beer from the 70s called "blue ribbon beer"

  • i love my great state of wisconsin. you know you are a pro when they dont let you enter a drinking contest cuz you are from wisconsin

  • I think I would fit in more if I lived in Wisconsin

  • @iamnotrealsoyeah He is Dead on about brandy old fashion. its gota be made from scratch.. ive wated to climb over the bar and make my own as well.

  • @manoman5067589261 You're just jealous that you aren't from Wisconsin. And really, if you want to insult people by calling them uneducated you could at least spell the words in you insult correctly and form full sentences. (Coors; weight; rednecks)

  • @manoman5067589261 ,it should say moronman instead of manoman. Idiot, it's COORS. And we're uneducated? It's OVER WEIGHT, not weigh. You're the uneducated one you pansy ass son of a bitch.

  • @manoman5067589261 Being from Wisco I agree coors is pussy beer but at least us rednecks know how to spell.. fuckin' idiot.

  • Oshkosh :)

  • @starkyboy007 B'gosh.

  • best part is people from wisconsin get banned from drinking competitions in other states. winning

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you Lewis Black for pointing out that we are in fact professional drinkers!

  • he speaks the truth, when us people from wisconsin go to another state and watch the locals get drunk we can laugh and order another round thinking "bunch of light weights" :P
