This was the first game in the series I played. So I did some research on the internet into the entire plot. When I got to this level, I loved the delicious irony of it all. Raziel was originally the one who killed all of his brothers, including his human self.
If you ask me, he was a total douche as a human. As he was the one who Killed Janos Audron. Yet eventually becomes the one who resurrects him lol. Time Travel can be crazy at times.
Soul Reaver 1 is definitively worth downloading and playing. Incredible game. The Blood Omen series, on the other hand... they're not bad but, if it wasn't for LOK's story, they wouldn't really stand out from the hack'n'slash genre.
I've beaten Soul Reaver 2 and Defiance. And currently playing through Blood Omen 2 and Soul Reaver 1. All I need now is Blood Omen 1. I plan on playing that last though.
It was very well done for this part to happen in the story, cos if raziel had takin the souls of his brothers they would not hav become vampires and not hav been able to giv raz there gifts, so i admire how this was worked in so elegently
