Five cops were firing... and when two of them were on the other side of the car, firing in the direction of three others, it would seem like shots were being fired from the car. That's the reason the 31 shots guy kept firing.

As for no jury... That was smart.

Just like the callers... and most people who post responses on youtube, the jury would probably get caught up on the most irrelevant facts that it was Bell's wedding day, that he left behind two children, that Guzman and Benefield were in wheelchairs, that Bell's last words to Guzman were "I love you too" shortly before dying (which was an absolute LIE by the way. A man whose larynx is destroyed doesn't have last words).

The judge dealt with the law.

Something else: Let's assume Isnora did identify himself and nobody in the car heard or saw it. When you try to run down someone with a car, and that someone has a gun (Guzman said he saw a gun. A silver gun, yet the gun was black...), you will get shot at. If Bell turned the other way when he had the chance (and he had the chance) he'd still be alive today.

Did Isnora identify himself? Officer Carey (who wasn't charged at all) said he heard him, and saw him wearing his badge when it was all over.

Between getting hit with a car and firing 11 shots, just when did he have time to put it on? I am lead to believe he had it on since before he approached Bell's car.

The ones who say he didn't were Guzman and Benefield, who had the most to gain from lying about it, and an unreliable stripper whose testimony wildly conflicted with physical evidence.

Oliver had just seen a fellow officer get hit by a Nissan Altima, and he himself was inside a van that was hit by the Nissan Altima twice. This tells him that the occupants of the Altima are dangerous and intend to do harm. Plus, he was told by Isnora (and at trial confirmed by Sanchez) that Guzman was possibly armed ("Yo, go get my gun"). The assessment was "If I don't stop them, I will die". After 16 shots he stopped, reassessed, and came to the same conclusion.

As for 50 shots... first of all, a Nissan Altima isn't made out of tin foil, so anybody who says it should have taken one shot is an idiot. Of the 31 shots fired by Oliver, 20 of them hit people. That means 11 of his shots missed, Isnora's 11 shots missed, Carey's 3 shots missed, Cooper's 4 shots missed, and Headly's 1 shot missed.

Not that they missed the car (though it's perfectly reasonable that out of 50 shots, a couple miss the car), but they didn't strike anybody.

As for the rap sheets of Guzman and Benefield, they were used in part to show that their testimony wasn't 100% reliable. Of course, their inconsistency with themselves and with the physical evidence proves them unreliable as well... plus, they were/are involved in a big lawsuit that they wouldn't want to compromise by telling the truth.

totally GUILTY.. think about it.. if i was a cop and someone claimed they had a gun, I WOULD NOT WAIT UNTIL THEY GOT TO THE LOCATION OF THE WEAPON BEFORE ACTUALLY DOING SOMETHING ABOUT THE SITUATION.. it was a big time setup. they are murderers and nothing less than that. the only reason you'd wait for someone to get their gun is if you planned on neutralizing them with extreme prejudice. what would you do as a police officer if someone claimed they had a gun?
