Taxes! I just bought my FJ here in South Africa, the base model cost me R435000 which is US$61,355.87 at today's exchange rate and Aussie $57,797.52! Un-Fucking-Believable!!!
Why does this car costs approximately $28,000 in USA, but comes in at nearly $50,000 here in Australia? It's particularly offensive when you consider our dollar is worth more than the greenback these days. Wouldn't you agree?
@mvalovalo In malaysia it cost around 150k and we earn raftly the same as our US counterparts. You want to know why, is all the bloody fucking tax!! someone want to make more money
@mvalovalo I've heard of people living in the US and going to Stutgart, Germany to buy a New Porsche at the factory and bringing it back home. Even with all the fees, it cost them less money than buying it in the US. It might be something considering if you live in Australia and consider getting an FJ. Maybe it's because of the mods needed to put the wheel on the right side?
Not bad, not bad at all. Have had a blast with mine, glad I bought it. Lots of Jeep owners were suprised how it performed in Moab. Hope they keep making them.
For a 2012 FJ loaded In Wisconsin USA it costs $34,000.00 total cost. Sticker is around $37,000.00
I think you pay more for importing it in other parts of the world.
