Turns out that recent studies have revealed that dear are both scavengers an omnivores. Their bodies aren't designed for hunting, but they will pick off road kill and even grounded birds.
good let them eat all the squirrels, damn thing's make so much noise during deer season anyways, i've seen a deer eat rotting meat before (coyote bait), never a live squirrel though o_0
