I own the new 08 rio5 and I've had it for nearly 2 months now. The gas milage for me avgs. 31-33ish which isn't bad at all. I went on a trip with it to the Ikea place last week and came back home w/ a loaded hatchback that stayed slightly open and tied down. I didn't have any problems with it on the 3 hour trip home. I'm really happy with my new car.
i've got a 1.4M 2006 Rio sedan. Though not a real speed demon, the acceleration is excellent for cars in its category. Handling feels steady and good. Done 30,000km currently, no probs. Interior may not be large, but still comfortable for 4 adults. A surprisingly large car boot volume. Relatively fuel economic, i usually do about 450-500km on a full tank.

You're either a bad driver or the car's fuel economy isn't so great. My Skoda Felicia can do up to 700 km on full fuel tank whose capacity is only 41 litres. I think, I'll get Citroen.

Germans don't make cars any more. They just engineer them. Yes, there are still some factories in Germany, but full of muslims.
