This is undoubtedly a very very clever story but I can't help but feeling like the rhyme scheme is a little contrived, especially in the first verse. Prevents it from being the perfect song, imo. I know you've gotta sacrifice a little to go one way or the other but I think he sacrificed too much in terms of rhyme and the result is that it's slightly corny.
