I just bought the game at steam. I like most everything about it, but I can't get it to work on multiplayer.. :( I have a gaming cpu, and a fast connection.

I joined yuplay, amd turned off my firewall, but when I try to log on, it keeps saying bad connection to the server. I play lots of online games with no sever problems. any ideas? thanks in advance. Nice video by the way. I subscribed

@diramonsky ...I haven't really played in a while. Just so you know it's nothing like hawx. I wasn't playing in 3rd person I was in 1st person for the flight. I was recording and changing the views for cinematic reasons. The game is nothing like hawx, but I am a IL2 vet and it's a some what more relaxed version that looks much much better and is very fun. I have to patch to the latest version and play again. Ive been play other games lately. And btw please watch the unnecessary F bombs..plz

I love IL-2 and cannot wait for Storm of War Battle of Britain and when I get my TrackIR5 and 3d glasses, people are gonna get knocked the fuck out by me and my BF-109 G-6. I used to be terrible but I learned how to play over the years and I even know some secret moves that most new comers would probably never find out. I love it.

It basically IS IL2 underneath, when you put it on the full switches it flies very much the same.

However, there are not nearly as many planes, missions, scenarios or people online. Unfortunately.

I wish they had sold the graphics enhancements for IL2 itself, instead of making a new game

played the demo and tried it on sim mod and minute i got in i started spinning, was able to get out but didint know if i had to trim the air craft or what? tried it on normal arcadish mode and still the plane was yawing to the left so i had to keep applying a bit of right rudder the whole time. kinda configured my controls on the fly (i hate having to do that). dont have too much experience in these older birds, do you have to trim them alot?

The next vid is going to be me shooting down 26 planes with 3 deaths. The first IL2 PC game seems to be more realistic and harder....if your wing had a hole in it you would spin out easier, and if you hit a tree you actually die.

This not advertised as a simulator...this is kind of a happy medium between a fun game with varying flight fidelity models and sim. If you want great graphics/effects and a "good enough" flight model to perform basic to advanced combat flight manuevers along with realistic gunnery, then you will like to play if not then you won't. And BTW If you hit a tree(or anything) you usually will die.

@TJV619 Damage does effect flying characteristics in this game - set to realistic or sim. I remember having to fly with full left rudder just to fly straight due to damage to my wing.

Fraps only seems to get laggy for me on the long battles. You really have to do some tests to find the best one for you. ZD Game recorder actually look better but it speeds things up for some reason. Chk out my first vid and you'll see what I mean. I wish it would of worked better.

Mofo this is actually on sim-multi player mode,limited ammo and fuel.For some reason they didn't model in the lack fuel injection in the early spits and hurri,only in the I153 and I16's. The answer to your other? is there's a max of I believe 32 players but have yet to see anyone able to handle that many. I've hosted as many as 12 I think.I have played in 8 on 8 games but usually kind of laggy. Get the game I think you might like it.Not a hardcore as IL2 but is very fun and looks terrific. Cya

cuse I see that ur engine dosnt cut when u dive with hurri, since hurri and some spits are gravity feul injected when they dive the feul cuts of the engine and I dont see that happen here

Yea but it's terrible compared to Xbox360 Birds of Prey. Its not as easy to connect with other pilots because of that. I don't even bother trying anymore. You can chat but its hard when your flying.

Thx Royraiden. Joysticks are really a personal preference. I use the Logitec Extreme 3D Pro. Affordable,very sturdy, twisty rudder and 12 programmable buttons. I also have the Saitek AV8R. Great for Birds of Prey 360...not so good for PC.
