I don't like your method of doing it, i'm more familiar with the timeline aspect of animation as i've used flash before the frame by frame just seems to simple and basic for me to fully appreciate the animation.

@geganobo Animation in Photoshop only registrers movement and opacity etc. so if you paint on a layer it will affect all layers. Sorry for my bad English BTW. im from Sweden.

Go to the lines and the arrow click

"New layers visible in all frames"

That should disable the new frames into all frames ^_^

Thanks for the vid it was great help. Just one question, I put together digital camera photo frames. When i exported it and saved it as quicktime movie and clicked to watch it, the picture was massive. And it was a very large file. Can I minimize the picture somehow? Do you use Image size? What I found weird that it was already 72 dpi

I duplicate a frame, edit tge second one and it applies the change to all the frames.. It never used to do it, how do I fix?

@FITE994 That happens sometimes, you'll have to readjust the first frame. If you use ctrl+T (free transform) the object will change on all frames.

@geganobo You can only animate a few basic effects like opacity and position. If your 1st frame is changing when you alter your 2nd, it means that effect can't be animated.

@geganobo make sure all your layers on the right is not seen, (click the all the layers eye icons) and then click a layer to be seen, and when its on the frames, make another frame and make the layer unseen again, when you do that repeat it until you used all your layers for your animation.

@geganobo Yeah. put all your frames onto different layers. Then, open the animation box, create the frames and show/hide the layers accordingly. Thats what I do anyway.

Ive done everything mentioned in tutorial but when I try to animate the ball by putting it in different positions and duplicating the frames what Im left with is just a jumble of frames of the ball in the same position. Basically, every ball in every frame moves identically to the most recent balls movement.

When I try to make a new layer (Layer > New) and then try to move the ball it comes up with a message saying it could not move the ball because the selected area is empty.

Please help!

Wait, I got it! When using the move tool make sure that the layer option is selected next to "auto-select" and not group. I hope this helps everyone with the same problem.
