I think that ball lightning is a lot more typical than previously considered. Almost all of the reasonably valid UFO footage I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of it, is easily within the notion of ball lightning, or 'plasma'... same thing. The part that is interesting, is not whether such phenomena exist, that is very reasonable, but whether they are anything other than passive.
