@bookiewormie1 To be fair though, Kalinina was a shadow of her former self by 1992. She wasn't even in the top 3 within Ukraine that year as Gutsu, Lysenko, and Stovbchataya had surpassed her. 1990 Kalinina would've definitely made the team but by 1992, she was no longer an obvious choice. I guess for her, it was a matter of peaking at the wrong time.
That wiggle in the corner kills me everytime but I do love her routine. She could do away with the wiggle by spending a few more seconds on her dance moves and then move right into her last pass.
I'm suprised that most broadcasters didn't show this routine. What's up with that?
Anyway i loved Kalinina ever since she won the GWG in 1990, and this was by far one of her best routines. I loved how she made the double full look so effortless by just dancing out of it like it was nothing.
How come she wasn't at Barcelona in '92?
