My great grandfather on my dads side was supposed to go on the titanic, he had the tickets and everything till someone else payed more and he couldn't go. I can imagine he was so mad, but if he did go on, he wouldn't have met my great grandmother. Plus, I found out my dads fiance's ancestors were on the Carpathia. It's amazing, on or off, the titanic can still connect families, people and events together, even the generations and in its memory. Ask your ancestors sometime where they were then.:)

actually this movie made more money than any other. But if "avatar" is your excuse. think of this: Back then, tickets cost half as much as they do now, so Titanic technically made a ton more money than Avatar. AND there was less advertising as there is today, so this movie is still the most popular film ever.(and thumbs up for ShadyLady92)

I just saw the full movie from start to finish yesterday with my friend.. My, were we bawling and hysterical. When I watched Rose let go of Jack, it really tore me apart and it felt like I could really understand the loss and pain that Rose must have been feeling when she had to let go. And the last scene... gosh, did that get me so dizzy from sobbing that when the movie ended i had to lean on the chair for support.. But it was the greatest movie i have ever seen.. <3
