@bash316@davidmjeong926 I had read that only a few tracks that had D'arcy survived Machina...that after her departure from SP, Billy went back and did new material...maybe i was mistaken...i'll have to look at the cd booklet again...
Aw man what happened to the Pumpkins? Billy is doing some much better stuff but Machina and previous are probably lost forever,,,, Not to be negative I mean he's still here creating music so who cares...
The intro alone can drag me to the depths of my stupid nostalgic memories yet I can't stop myself from listening to this AMAZING song. I have an affinity with sadness perhaps, I'll accept that.
i love this song im going thru a bad time n this song gives me hope... my whole life is falling apart but i kno it will get better or @ least i hope. Thank you billy corgan for giving me hope
I've always loved the Smashing Pumpkins! My parents used to play the 'Pumpkins songs all the time, until my house was broken into. I guess someone loved the Smashing Pumpkins as well because they stole all of our albums!! ( and some other stuff ) Luckily the album of "B-sides and Rarities" was left in the car!
Machina: The Machines God was really ahead of it's time, it's just now starting to get the respect it deserves. This album is an awesome work of art that only appeals to adults or young people who have grown beyond their years in wisdom.
I saw that video for this song, I don't know if it was official or not, but it haunted trough my dreams fow a week after I saw it. And now, this song is my favourite of all.
It was the official video for Try Try Try. It's from a short called Try made in Switzerland. I saw the short be for I ever was the video for Try Try Try and some how always thought of the short when this song came on the radio or I played my album. If you want to see the short just type in Jonas Akerlund on YouTube it will blow your mind. I live next to a drug dealer so I see people like those two all the time Hookers petty criminals, and people who panhandle for money to buy drugs it's sad.
The way I see "Pop tart" is that that is what he calls his girlfriend. Just like some call their gf's "Honey Bun" or anything else. I don't see it as him singing literally about a Pop-Tart. Sorry of I sound rude, I honestly don't mean to be. :) I love both versions of this song. -/3
@bassguy215 hey man, often times there is no life when you've just planted a seed... i know what it feels like when the entire harvest that you've worked on so hard, is all thrown away... i hope it made u stronger.
@frickinlosers He wasn't very nice to me. He's lucky that he does actually have talent. Even though he was rude, I still listen because in the end it's the music that attracts me to the songs, but the people who made it.
the way that i see the meaning to pop tart is that its a breakfast food and breakfast is the meal that starts ur day so he when he says "Pop tart, whats our mission?" he is wondering what lies ahead of him for the day
Though I am not a fan of the Pumpkins "new age" material. This song for some reason always pulled me in. All the adore and machina stuff I never like. I was always an original (the kind of fan Billy loves to hate) with the gish the siamese dream and the mellon collie. But for some reason I always loved this song. There were always certain songs that I loved from this album and adore but this is one of the tops. Good job billy.
Thank you so fucking much for the upload!

@mvo1980 D'arcy was in the band for Machina, except for the song "Age of Innocence", the last track of the album.

@nicholsjoshua15, For years I sang it like this "Top Down", not "Pop-Tart" and now I can't help myself and that's how I sing it.
