Im a lebron fan but Jordan is hands down the best ever...for now. But Lebron is just entering his prime the way he is playin this season is on pace for the one of the greastest ind. seasons in history, in a condensed season. So only time will tell if the comparison is fair. Lebron needs a few rings too
I don't know if it's right to compare LeBron to Michael. I don't think it's right to compare anyone to Michael. James has a lot of career left in him to do great things. I know this.: Until Jordan came along, the game had stagnated and there was a lot of interest lost. Then along comes a young man of 6 ft. 6 who could go airborne over the tallest players in the NBA and take over a game at will. When he and the Bulls took the floor, you expected to see something spectacular. And you always did.
Every time I view this video, it inspires me. Lebron is my favorite player, but Jordan was the greatest of all time. Can you put both of these guys in comparison? Lebron, who has a better 3 ball, likes to settle for jumpers. While Michael, who could do it all, in any situation, scored in every possibility, has more rings, and is a living legend. Don't put these two side by side, yet.....
@TheMiamiHeatFan05 If he can get so many rings in such a timespan while being a true leader and calling the shots when it counts...maybe not better than MJ, but sure on the same level.
the answer to this question lied inside the question asked.... Honestly ask yourself,... who is the only NBA player to ever play the game, whose presence is still echoed in every basketball conversation, pick up game, tv ad, on your feet,...and even still to this day on the leading sports sim video game,...when you retire, and your name alone brings you back,...its pointless to even argue, or try to compare, when the way you play leaves a mark in such a way,.... MJ all day!!!
@33outlaw33 He put up 40+ points in 4 straight games, most players won't even reach 40 points once in a season. He also leads the league in scoring at the time that I posted this comment. He's out-playing offensive beasts like LeBron, Durant, Rose, Westbrook.. you get the picture. I prefer LeBron over Kobe, but I still respect Kobe.
How are people going to say Lebron is better then MJ? Lebron is afraid to enter the slam dunk contest because he's afraid of what people what say if he loses.
Helllll Noooo!!!! Lebron?!?! Kobe took MJ spot and if kobe retires D Rose will take the spot. It is how it is. MvPs are the MvPs. The best of the best. Lebron... Psss Nahhhh i rather compare lebron to pipen or rodman
Dennis Rodman was a very good player as well. I still remember him and Karl Malone going at it. The Bulls were so sick, especially 1995-1996. Ridiculous.
Umm... It's not all said and done for Lebron James.. Just saying.. He's legacy hasn't finished yet... Micheal Jordan won his first ring at 28... Lebron Just turned 27...
Yea maybe his legacy isn't as amazing as Jordan's,
But why compare??
If lebron hasn't even finished marking his spot...
@FR3ZHBOYZENT Problem with your statement is that, Michael Jordan within four 4th quarter games during a "Finals" will not produce only 14 points total. MJ will not act like he wouldn't want the ball either if his team needed him. Heck, prove you want to carry a team, MJ proved that 7 years prior to his 1st ring.
I agree Lebron shouldn't be compared, he's not even comparable to other Top NBA Greats (Larry, Kareem, Russell, Magic, Big-O etc, etc anyone?), much less MJ.
@FR3ZHBOYZENT You must be kidding? Larry and Magic saved the NBA, and both of them came before MJ. Point being, in all 6 of MJ's Final's Appearance, not one did he lay an egg in. Lebron has laid an egg in TWO FINALS.
You obviously were not around to see MJ Pre-Championships, he was labeled "Scoring Champ who can't win a Championship". Plenty of people trashed on MJ prior to it, it isn't just a Lebron thing. LBJ put more on himself due to the way he conducts himself.
MJ will be always be better than lebron.... and i think MJ was able to get 6 rings because he had three yrs of college it helped him lebron came rite outta HS thts y he still dont have a rung but i do think before his career is over hell have at least 2-3

Love Lebron's game, but Jordan was clutch as hell. MJ absolutely tore up the Finals and playoffs. He took his game to the next level, took over games, and won titles.
lebron will never be HALF the player mj was mj had the most amazing shooting skills ever known if mj was the same age as lebron and they played 1 on 1 mj would SCHOOL Lebron
@thecoolguy2599 hey stupid ass. we don't listen to stupid fuckers like you, we cant even comprehend what you're trying to say. Lebron sucks at 3's btw
@xpect420 michael jordan didn't need to average the rebounds that james does now because he had guys like rodman and luc longley, he didn't need to average the assists that james does now because of pippen and the overall triangle offense. if you watched the finals of bulls vs lakers, jordan was basically averaging a triple double. IF JORDAN WANTED to average the stats james had he could've done it in his sleep. to even put lebron james and michael jordan in the same sentence is stupid.
Sad thing is, most of the clips of MJ were within the 2nd championship run. MJ was several years older than LeBron at that point! You can't compare LeBron to MJ. You need to compare him to Magic. He is so much bigger than MJ. Kobe vs. MJ...fine. But if you really want to, MJ still accomplished more in his nine years than LeBron has. All around best player? LeBron IS in the discussion....Scottie you are right.
I almost forgot... Lebron has been to the finals twice and has won a total of four games. Kobe has 5 rings but 3 of them came to him as Shaq's sidekick. Jordan BUILT the Bulls from being 2nd to last place in the league into a bonafied DYNASTY. And he beat Hall Of Fame Players in the process.
Jordan dominated from day one. Broke his foot, sat out 8 months, came back and scored 63 on Boston in the playoffs! Won 3 straight titles, retired, came back and won 3 straight titles AGAIN. 6-0 in the finals, 6 finals MVP's, 6 rings. Without having to go to another team to make it happen... CASE CLOSED
@Vicenterpp we will discuss this better if LBJ wins final mvp awards. if he winds rings (im sure he will) because of d-wade no one will give him credit
"LeBron can shut down d-rose", please d-rose is like half the size of James, and michael had to shut down guys of the same size or bigger, michael had to shut down reggie miller, please...
From 1:29 to 1:39 the array of jumpshots were breathtaking..the control the poise the wrist action..I,mean Jordan MASTERED it down to the foot work..he was a scoring machine...once agian excelent ..excelent work..thank you for this...amazing job.
@tatertots00 how does having a good supporting cast make it "easy" to take a big shot? It's one shot with the ball in YOUR hands, at that point it's all on you.
@powrs5000 Its easy because the defense doesn't just ignore great role players like Steve Kerr, John Paxon, BJ Armstrong who have all made numerous big shots when Jordan passes out of double teams, They do ignore bums like Eric Snow, washed up Mike Bibby and double and triple team Lebron in to contested shots.
@sunnyboy8644 I was laughing @ someone who said that...if you look through the comments. Youre the idiot for not being able to comprehend my comment...stay in school boy!
Everyone always want to play the "championship" card on Lebron. I hate to break it to yall but, championships are won by a "team" effort, not just by one player, so your argument towards that is both ignorant, stupid and invalid and for people who love to bring Michael Jordan to the mix, makes you look even stupider because Michael had help from Horace Grant and Scottie Pippen so, thus proving my point. And to top it all off, The bulls had a hall of fame, brilliant, coach named "Phil Jackson"
@spatesellis how about clutche moments? how about dominating the way he did? how about 6 finals MVP? doesnt that count? and james having wade and bosh? doesnt that count either? how about nba finals 100% victory percentage? i understand championships are a bad way to mesure things but please, we know another ways...
@joaopescusa Why are you arguing with me. I think Lebron James is a good player and my comment was defending him, not bashing him. I just get frustrated when people compare him to jordan and his 6 championships, yet they fail to realize he won those championships by a team effort. I know Lebron's had his great moments but dont get me wrong. I'm not talking down on Lebron. He's actually been my favorite basketball player for almost 8 years now.
@136Warriors Not hating on your comment, but who wouldn't want to be Michael? All the guys entering the NBA right now are the kids that watched him in his prime and got in to basketball because of him.
@MrNonzi I understanding where you are coming from but.... LeBron thought he was ready too outdo Michael Jordan because he continued to do the chalk toss and wear his number 23 soooooooooo
I dont understand what the hell people talk about. Jordan was, above all, a fierce competitor and someone who would take a challenge personally, doing everything to prove doubters wrong. In that sense - attitude wise - Kobe and Rose are probably similar, while LeBron is a coward who ran away from the challenge to gang up with other, mentally stronger guys because deep inside he must have accepted its not within his abilities. How on earth can yuo even compare that failure to MJ?

kobe and jordan letsgo and wtf these guys are talking about more rebounds look at the position he plays hes supposed to get more rebounds they play diffrent positions lebrons the best in his position but nothing compared to MJ
You can make any stat analysis you want; but great players are at their peak during crunch time, and if you watch the last two minutes of the '98 finals versus last years you will see, Mj>Lechoke
This video literally sent chills down my spine, Lebron is a great player, but he is no G.O.A.T. Michael Jeffrey Jordan is now, and will always be the best player to ever touch a basketball
@tatertots00 depending to their statitics..their decade...teammates & leadership in the game...i'd say no mate. there are more things bout those rings than just a phrase.. especially when ur supposed to be best player of all times and u got as well a couple of defending titles..
@GMHQERIC when did i ever compare MJ to Bill Russel? i said jordan has 6 championships, LeBron only got to the finals twice. no mention of the great Bill Russel anywehre.
LeBron's 1st eight years compared to MJ's was two mvp's to 1??? I don't think so. MJ's first 8 years included 3x mvp, 2x finals mvps, Def. PotY, 6 scoring titles, and so on...Don't forget that this is just MJ's first eight years (from the 84-85 season to the 91-92 season).
MJ had passion, love, and respect for the game. Thats what made him one of the greatest or the greatest. And he also accept all challenges and failures. Thats what drove him to be the best. Thank you MJ for the memories...
COME ON MAN! How can Lebron or Kobe be better than MJ??!!
Seriously, when they are playing at that level, it's not even about how high they can jump or how many shots they can make! At THEIR level, it's ALL comes down to basketball IQ. MJ is one of the smartest ball player there is. He does ALL kinds of things to make bulls win games whether it's breaking down the defense or finding ways to score.
Sorry but I just DON'T SEE Lebron or Kobe having their level of basketball IQ as MJ does.
yeah to me all you lbj cocksuckers are going by stats alone...if we go by pure stats then wilt is the best of all time...but wait hes not...whether you like it or not lbj chokes where MJ didnt....6 is a lot better than 0....and i think even kobe is better than lbj...lbj hasnt proven shit except failure
Lebron wasn't even good as a rookie. Dude didn't even make the playoffs. Jordan was the 2nd best player in the league statistically as a rookie. Also if Lebron is better why would couldn't he bring an organization that never won anything a title? Jordan turned the Bulls from a bad organization to a title. Lebron will never bring a franchise that never won anything a title. Wade brought the Heat it's only title in franchise history. Also Lebron has 2 bronze medals.
@baller6016 Dude, Jordan received the Defensive Player of the Year Award in 1988, when he averaged a league-leading 3.2 steals and 1.6 blocks, and the next year, he averaged 32.0/8.0/8.0 with 2.9 steals to boot. When the Bulls moved him to point guard in the spring of 1989, Jordan averaged 10.4 assists in March/April '89. In 1988 and 1989, he also shot just under 54% from the field and 84-85% from the foul line. Jordan constituted the greatest scoring guard ever and he dominated all-around, too.
@tatertots00 how long has lbj been in the league? 9 years and he still has no ring. 9 yrs and jordan had 3. lebron cudnt lead his team to a championship so he ran off to miami and got a GREAT SUPPORTING CAST, guess what? HE STILL DIDNT GET A RING!! IT WAS HE WHO CHOKED IN THE FINALS! MJ SCORES 38 WITH A STOMACH FLU, FEVERISH DIRK SCORES 21, AND HEALTHY LEBRON SCORES 8! IN THE FINALS! scores 8!!!! sucked on D too! dont bullshit us about lebron being more valuable than jordan
@theskill98 blah blah. If Lebron had Phil Jackson, Scottie Pippen, Horace Grant and one of the greatest bench's ever he would probable have 7 or 8 rings by now.
The proof is in the numbers Jordan left the Bulls 2 game difference Lebron left the Cavs 42 game difference. Lebron is more valuable that is a FACT
@tatertots00 ... one of the greatest benches ever? Go back and name all the great bench players on those Bulls' teams, especially during the first three-peat. And James had Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh last year and still couldn't win the championship. The truth is that James wouldn't have paired with Pippen as well as Jordan did because James isn't nearly as good of a shooter and post-up player; both James and Pippen can be erratic shooters, so they wouldn't have complemented each other as well.
@tatertots00 And "proof"? You've only proved that you lack a worthwhile brain and that you're a fool who can't comprehend differences in context. Jordan left a team that possessed the best small forward in the game (Pippen), one of the better power forwards (Grant), a Hall of Fame coach (Jackson), a roster that had won three straight championships, and one that was adding Europe's best player (Toni Kukoc) and one of the NBA's best pure shooters (Steve Kerr).
@tatertots00 Conversely, when James left Cleveland, none of those aspects were remotely in place. The Cavaliers' best remaining player was Mo Williams, so you'd have to take away Pippen, Grant, and Kukoc from those Bulls and imagine that B.J. Armstrong (similar to Williams) constituted the best holdover. Then remove Jackson as coach and pretend that Chicago had never won a game in the NBA Finals, let alone three straight titles, and now imagine how many fewer games Chicago would have won.
Im a lebron fan but Jordan is hands down the best ever...for now. But Lebron is just entering his prime the way he is playin this season is on pace for the one of the greastest ind. seasons in history, in a condensed season. So only time will tell if the comparison is fair. Lebron needs a few rings too

Yes Lebron choked big time in the 2011 finals,

I almost forgot... Lebron has been to the finals twice and has won a total of four games. Kobe has 5 rings but 3 of them came to him as Shaq's sidekick. Jordan BUILT the Bulls from being 2nd to last place in the league into a bonafied DYNASTY. And he beat Hall Of Fame Players in the process.
YoungDonLive 6 days ago
Jordan dominated from day one. Broke his foot, sat out 8 months, came back and scored 63 on Boston in the playoffs! Won 3 straight titles, retired, came back and won 3 straight titles AGAIN. 6-0 in the finals, 6 finals MVP's, 6 rings. Without having to go to another team to make it happen... CASE CLOSED

MJ is better than King, yet. I believe LeBron will win at least 2 or 3 rings, and then, there we'll discusses this better =D

@Vicenterpp we will discuss this better if LBJ wins final mvp awards. if he winds rings (im sure he will) because of d-wade no one will give him credit

@tatertots00 how does having a good supporting cast make it "easy" to take a big shot? It's one shot with the ball in YOUR hands, at that point it's all on you.
powrs5000 1 week ago
@powrs5000 Its easy because the defense doesn't just ignore great role players like Steve Kerr, John Paxon, BJ Armstrong who have all made numerous big shots when Jordan passes out of double teams, They do ignore bums like Eric Snow, washed up Mike Bibby and double and triple team Lebron in to contested shots.

i dont think championship rings are the best gauge of a player's skills. but even so, jordan is still better.
SonOfEx0aces 1 week ago
Everyone always want to play the "championship" card on Lebron. I hate to break it to yall but, championships are won by a "team" effort, not just by one player, so your argument towards that is both ignorant, stupid and invalid and for people who love to bring Michael Jordan to the mix, makes you look even stupider because Michael had help from Horace Grant and Scottie Pippen so, thus proving my point. And to top it all off, The bulls had a hall of fame, brilliant, coach named "Phil Jackson"
spatesellis 1 week ago
@spatesellis how about clutche moments? how about dominating the way he did? how about 6 finals MVP? doesnt that count? and james having wade and bosh? doesnt that count either? how about nba finals 100% victory percentage? i understand championships are a bad way to mesure things but please, we know another ways...
joaopescusa 1 week ago
@joaopescusa Why are you arguing with me. I think Lebron James is a good player and my comment was defending him, not bashing him. I just get frustrated when people compare him to jordan and his 6 championships, yet they fail to realize he won those championships by a team effort. I know Lebron's had his great moments but dont get me wrong. I'm not talking down on Lebron. He's actually been my favorite basketball player for almost 8 years now.

LeBron's 1st eight years compared to MJ's was two mvp's to 1??? I don't think so. MJ's first 8 years included 3x mvp, 2x finals mvps, Def. PotY, 6 scoring titles, and so on...Don't forget that this is just MJ's first eight years (from the 84-85 season to the 91-92 season).

Sorry but I just DON'T SEE Lebron or Kobe having their level of basketball IQ as MJ does.

avgmedia1 1 week ago
Lebron wasn't even good as a rookie. Dude didn't even make the playoffs. Jordan was the 2nd best player in the league statistically as a rookie. Also if Lebron is better why would couldn't he bring an organization that never won anything a title? Jordan turned the Bulls from a bad organization to a title. Lebron will never bring a franchise that never won anything a title. Wade brought the Heat it's only title in franchise history. Also Lebron has 2 bronze medals.
lbarron25 1 week ago
And also Michael was more of a scorer. LeBron is a all-around player than he was!
baller6016 1 week ago
@baller6016 Dude, Jordan received the Defensive Player of the Year Award in 1988, when he averaged a league-leading 3.2 steals and 1.6 blocks, and the next year, he averaged 32.0/8.0/8.0 with 2.9 steals to boot. When the Bulls moved him to point guard in the spring of 1989, Jordan averaged 10.4 assists in March/April '89. In 1988 and 1989, he also shot just under 54% from the field and 84-85% from the foul line. Jordan constituted the greatest scoring guard ever and he dominated all-around, too.

but don't tell this to the Jordan dick riders
tatertots00 1 week ago
@tatertots00 how long has lbj been in the league? 9 years and he still has no ring. 9 yrs and jordan had 3. lebron cudnt lead his team to a championship so he ran off to miami and got a GREAT SUPPORTING CAST, guess what? HE STILL DIDNT GET A RING!! IT WAS HE WHO CHOKED IN THE FINALS! MJ SCORES 38 WITH A STOMACH FLU, FEVERISH DIRK SCORES 21, AND HEALTHY LEBRON SCORES 8! IN THE FINALS! scores 8!!!! sucked on D too! dont bullshit us about lebron being more valuable than jordan
theskill98 1 week ago
@theskill98 blah blah. If Lebron had Phil Jackson, Scottie Pippen, Horace Grant and one of the greatest bench's ever he would probable have 7 or 8 rings by now.
The proof is in the numbers Jordan left the Bulls 2 game difference Lebron left the Cavs 42 game difference. Lebron is more valuable that is a FACT
tatertots00 1 week ago
@tatertots00 ... one of the greatest benches ever? Go back and name all the great bench players on those Bulls' teams, especially during the first three-peat. And James had Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh last year and still couldn't win the championship. The truth is that James wouldn't have paired with Pippen as well as Jordan did because James isn't nearly as good of a shooter and post-up player; both James and Pippen can be erratic shooters, so they wouldn't have complemented each other as well.
joekiddlouischama 1 week ago
@tatertots00 And "proof"? You've only proved that you lack a worthwhile brain and that you're a fool who can't comprehend differences in context. Jordan left a team that possessed the best small forward in the game (Pippen), one of the better power forwards (Grant), a Hall of Fame coach (Jackson), a roster that had won three straight championships, and one that was adding Europe's best player (Toni Kukoc) and one of the NBA's best pure shooters (Steve Kerr).
joekiddlouischama 1 week ago
@tatertots00 Conversely, when James left Cleveland, none of those aspects were remotely in place. The Cavaliers' best remaining player was Mo Williams, so you'd have to take away Pippen, Grant, and Kukoc from those Bulls and imagine that B.J. Armstrong (similar to Williams) constituted the best holdover. Then remove Jackson as coach and pretend that Chicago had never won a game in the NBA Finals, let alone three straight titles, and now imagine how many fewer games Chicago would have won.
joekiddlouischama 1 week ago
@tatertots00 you act like LeChoke didnt have any support in miami you idiot.
