You are AWESOME! I just joined the Praise Team at our church and I play the tambourine, the calabasa and the shaker. Well, I was messin' around with the congas & they caught me, asking me to PLAY!  I've been watching your how-to's on playing them & say a HUGE THANK YOU 'cause I'm SCARED! I play them with mallots & can only do a couple of diff. rhythms but that's it. I've already played LIVE 3 times but play congas 1-2 times. I've NEVER played them before professionally! God bless!

I'm getting better LOL but I still get pretty nervous. I played a couple of songs with my hands only and people said I sounded good. luckily I had a MIKE on them since my hands HURT once I started playing and I didn't hit them as hard. I had to listen to the song during practice, then find a beat that's right and sounds good with it. I just bought some nice bongos and plan to practice at home with music but I will keep watching your vids. Thanks and God bless! =)

thanks...and that is just the regular salsa variation. The only time I changed was at the end when I did what is known as the "songo" rhythm.
