I fucking hate this shit. My mood will rapidly change, I always feel out of it, sometimes I stop talking mid-sentence, I'm always tired, and I could go on. I feel like I'd rather just have a fucking seizure once a month instead of taking this shit. It constantly turns me into someone whom I am not and don't want to be. I may try switching soon.
i was prescribed keppra and tegretol for partial onset seizures..! i started having weird side effects such as depersonalization,paranoia,, bad social anxiety.. lack of motivation!
I told my neurologist about these effects and he told me he wont see me anymore go see a psych,I am now left in a really bad state of mind.

I don't think the side effects are as bad as the dilantin they took me off of. That shit had my brain so fucked up I couldn't concentrate on anything and I had bad memories all the time, always at home feeling like shit maybe think about killing myself sometimes. I think my depression is starting to wear off and it seems like I can pay attention better now since I've been taking keppra.
One thing most interesting was that the nurse asked me if I was taking any vitamins.
I told her how I was taking a lot of Vitamin C. She said "that is probably what put my Dilantin level down". It would make sense. It's been about the last year and a half that I've been pumping Vit C and the seizures have come back. Anyway, I'll have to see what this Keppra does. 1000mg/day with the 300mg of Dilantin. A paranoid, angry, suicidal, zombie on legs.

The seizures were becoming more frequent to the point that I had surgery. It worked, but they came back as soon as I started weening off of the Dilantin. So back to 300 mg/day and didn't have a seizure for over 4 1/2 years. Then boom,
back to about 1/month. This last one put me in the hospital and this is where I was introduced to Keppra
i've been taking keppra for 2 years, and i think it's great. My seizures have stopped, i don't feel the side effects you guys have for some reason. I'm still a lazy laid back guy i always have been. I do have to agree that taking keppra sucks cos you know it's for the rest of your life and i do panic a bit if i'm late for taking them or think that i've forgotten to take them. i feel more confident about going out on my own because the siezures have stopped best thing i've taken for epilepsy
I have repeated thoughts of suicide being on this drug. I find myself very paranoid and feel like people are watching me and judging me. However, my seizures have been under control being on Keppra as compared to the other shit drugs I was on.
I take Keppra, and HATE IT. I have to take it though. It makes me very tired and low energy. I lose my temper very easy also!!! Can become hostile if you really upset me.

I'm on this medication cause I took a diet pill (Redline) not knowing that I had high blood pressure. I only had one seizure in 2006, now I'm affraid to get off. Before I had the seizure, I did have absent seizures starting 3 years prior to having my tonic clonic seizure. Tiredness is a big side effect and anxiety. Shit pisses me off. LOL!

I need regular keppra my neuro has prescribed it but my insurance company will only give me the generic and it isnt working completely so my doc wants me to have the regular keppra where can I get help to get this reg keppa? I have a constant ara all day

richpunisher i was on lamictal only, still had seizures, then almost immediately starting keppra along with the lamictal the seizures have stopped. It's fantastic, even if i drink too much it's all in check. keppra has been like a god send to me. not felt "keppra rage" dizzy sometimes but that's all. Thank god this stuff is around for us epileptic ppl :D
I have experienced the "keppra rage"..Although I actually told my doctor I would forgo my quality of life just to stay healthy..So now he is in the middle of adjusting the Keppra Zonegran and starting me on Lamictal.Hoping to just be on lamictal in a few months..Before it was keppra Zonegran and Depakote,and I feel like I walk around with my head in the clouds.

I remember in a math lesson the teacher started writing equations on the board. Then I sort of switched off and found myself looking at a cupboard. I looked back, the board was full and everyone was doing their work.
It wasn't a seizure. It was closer to severe drowsiness. It's what everyone does when their body is tired, just stare into space. But I'd keep doing it. And this was amongst other things. It's the only drug I've tried that's had a drastic negative effect on me of the ELEVEN I've tried. (I'm about the up the does on Zonegran...) This was years ago now. I was 12-13 at the time. Now I'm 18.
when i first was diagnosed with epilepsy, they had me try lamictal and i had a full-body rash. then i tried zonegran for three, maybe 2 1/2 years and we were always having to buy different generic brands; that made me have seizures all the time! for about 2 1/2 years since then i have been taking keppra and ever since i started taking keppra, haven't had a seizure at all, though i do agree that it does make you very tired. thats the only negative side-effect.
I have been taking keppra for just a few weeks now with clobazam and have found the combination to have dramatically reduced my tonic clonic seizures.

my daughter is on keppra it stopped her seizures, topamax didn't do anything to her she's 18 months. I think this is good for her.
