  • So that's mixing with 2 CD players instead of turntables ? I always wondered what kind of equipment you would use to mix CD's in the manner LP's were mixed. Very Cool!!! I used to have a Gemini mixer with crossfader and two turntables. I miss it!

  • what this numark layout?

  • Great mix! What caught my attention was LISA FISCHER "SHADOWS OF THE NIGHT" how did you come across that one? It was'nt on the BEAT STREET LP, much props only a true old skool would have caught that one.

  • It's on the 1995 release The Best Of Criminal Records (this cd is now out of print).

  • 4:38-4:58 was the best!!!!!!!!!!!

  • does anyone no that song that goes ichi ni san shi

  • You deserve ten qualification.

  • is that comment aimed at me??

  • it's mixing or switching cd's ?

  • Your right!! Sorry I dont mean to dis....but this is not good mixing!! sorry son nice try..music selection isnt too bad...but when using such a popular bpm (beat per minute) you must be very creative with very nice blends..almost like your telling a story with meaning through music!!your on the right track but far from good mixing..probably just lack of experince!!..nice equipment though!!

    Baltimore stand up!!

  • it is such a pain mixing with CD's!!! Stick to wax :D

  • I moved cross country last year, so I had to leave my records behind. I should be getting them back soon :)

  • who sings honey to a bee - any ideas?. love that track and the one by lisa fisher.

  • Tina B

  • what song is playing at about the 00:32

  • Nuance - Take A Chance

  • I moved cross country and had to leave my tables behind. Hopefully they'll be back soon.

  • Ive been searching for shadows of the night for some time now but i cant find it anywhere online and i dont even know the artist. Can anyone help me...its the song that starts at 8:43

  • As I posted in the description...

    6. Lisa Fischer - Shadows (Only Love)

    - From the movie Beat Street (not on the soundtrack)

You can get this song on "The Best of Criminal Records"

Lisa Fischer also sang the song "On The Upside" under the alias Xena.

  • some top, top tunes on this mix: love honey to a bee and only love at the end, shame it cut off...love the old freestyle stuff. brings back lots of memories, wish those days would come back. thanks for the memories.

  • lol the numark dm mixer, thats my old "shitty mixer" lasted me long tho

  • Yeah, it does the job. I just needed something that was decent with a decent price.

  • Hey, this was a really great mix with a lot of good songs. Great job, man.

  • Thanks a lot! Very nice compliments :)

  • Nice mix man. Wel done!

  • Thank you very much! :)

  • Nice tight mix man.

  • fine mix

  • i got that same crappy mixer i hate it. the crossfader went out and gives me static and i dont even scratch

  • Yep, this is my second one.. but I had left the first one in Boston when I moved last year (The crossfader went out on me too) I bought it again because of the price and basic features that I wanted. At the DJ shop, they didn't have anything similar, so I figured I'd buy this to get me going and then purchase a better one later on once I got good at mixing.

  • i wonder whats the cause of it?? fukin NUMARK needs to take care of the customers and not release crappy products like this.

  • The cross fader is easily replaceable and only costs $15 at the DJ shop down the street from me. It's just a basic cross fader, not like the heavy duty ones featured in other products. It still a pretty decent mixer for around $115, even just to get you started.

  • $115?? fuk that over here at guitarcenter in texas the price is only $49.99

  • for the 1050? That's a great price.

  • YEAH THE 1050 mixer. yeah its a decent price but they dont last long and i dont even scratch but hey im going to check and see if i can find a replaceable CROSSFADER

  • Nice smoothe mix :)

  • For some reason I can't see anyones comments. Sorry guys :(

  • Nice stuff man, diggin the choons!!!!

  • nice!

  • nice!

  • Nice classic electro / freestyle stuff man! Good Luck bro!

  • OK, checked your second counter on CD players, it's at least 66BPM, so your video must be at least 10% faster than your original recording.

  • I don't have any BPM counter turned on :P

  • I was looking at the elapsed time display on CD players. Anyway, its either your camera or your encoding, movements look very weird, to me anyway.

  • I think it's the camera. I'm using the built-in iSight on my MacBook Pro.

  • Don't mean to be rude, but this video was obviously speeded up, your movements are unnaturally fast and the songs are pitched up. Please correct me if I am wrong though.

  • Hi iamroma... I assure you that both audio and video are completely live. In fact, I think the video is slightly slower than the audio. Nothing was edited or anything.

  • Ok, I'll take your word for it, and take my foot out of my mouth :)

  • No prob :) Nice to see someone else representing Cali in this competition :)
