The problem with this mouse is that the battery is not replacable, so when it won't hold a charge anymore, it's a dead product. Mine lasted about 7 months then it wouldn't charge anymore.

But worry not, you can spend another $100 and buy the newer MX mouse which has a battery that can be replaced (it's a simple rechargeable AA battery), and you can plug the new mouse into a usb port to charge it while using it.

I wish I could have bought the newer mouse when I bought the original MX mouse.

can you find the compatibility number of the mouse for the receiver? i hear there is two different models. an 06 and 07, and possibly so on and so fort. im asking you to find this number on the mouse because, 1. i cant find it and 2. i recently bought a new usb receiver, and it isnt with my mouse. so can you plz help me?

@MWoody92 razer have better shapes and design.. logitech are jus plain mouse with tat kind of 1 type of grip palm grip.. get some mouse tat can do many grips.. razers mouse are 1 of them

I bought mine from the circuit city that is closing in my area down to only $39.95 plus tax, which is a more appropriate price for this mouse. Don't get me wrong, the hyper scroll is a fresh feature and the recharge is nice, but in 1 or 2 years when the battery isn't holding a charge anymore you're out of luck since the battey is not replacable unfortunately. If I had to pay $99 for it, I would have passed, it's just not THAT nice.

a mouse is an important part of the desktop setup and all, but 100 dollars?..... i can't say i belive thats worth it, i mean yeah its a nice mouse and all, but a mouse is a mouse, they all work the same pretty much. Trust me i want this mouse badly, but the one i have is bluetooth, just your standard 2 click scroll wheel mouse, and i like it just fine.
