  • Thanks for posting! Brilliant film!

  • thank you, tank you so much

  • CAN, translation, émotion

  • 5:30 one of the best endings of all time... ¡Priceless!

  • Wenders deeply influenced by De Sica and Douglas Sirk. A real treat.

    Thanks for posting.

  • thank you for posting this. love this film.

  • This is the blueprint for so many art movies that came after. Simple, honest and yet elegaic.

  • Wonderfull film! I guess it's good that her Mom got a break for awhile? I was living almost the opposite path while this was filming, so it arouses bittersweet memories of a good kind. Phillip's sense of humor was just fine.

  • love wim, lots of faraway so close in this, cheers

  • Great film! There's absolutely no reason why this, or Wender's "Kings of the Road" shouldn't be available on DVD, but alas, they aren't. So thanks for posting!

  • Both are available on DVD in the UK

  • @pillowpants84

Come to Moscow. Here this film is available on DVD ))

  • Masterpiece

  • i enjoyed it. it was good, intelligent, not sentimental in a hollywood way. but it still could've had a little more emotion - alice's friendship w/philip should've grown more - and we never got to philip's conclusions about (american) cities. the style, full of traffic noise+modern metaphors, is good - but expanding on the friendship+on winter's conclusions from his travels wouldn't have hurt or changed the style of the film any. it would've made it even better.

  • i dont think dwelling on the article winter was writing would have added anything to the film. wenders wasnt making a documentary. besides it was obvious his conclusions were negative. as far as the relationship i think it rang true and not sentimental. this is a film not a movie. there is a difference.

  • anyway it's a good, intelligent film. definitely not sentimental or hollywood.
