I believe that the composer borrows the the image of the moon in a dark night sky to describe the separation of the two lovers. Of course the moon does not cry; however, people cry. It's a symbolism. Hopefully, you will figure out the meanings behind all this when you look at the moon from a different perspective.

So I would say I like both versions, this of Ky Anh and the original of Nhat Tinh Anh---they're both unique in their own way.

But I really think the talking parts are not necessary. Those parts make this a bit too "cai luong" for my taste...

i dont think the song writer mean by the moon cries...he meant by while u are sitting under the lit moon and remembering your love one that you lost leads to YOU crying. its like saying your heart is breaking! but it didnt really break. get it?
