I cannot get my head around anyone saying it is "posh"..Bramhall is posh..but so are parts of ..well everywhere..and yes according to the still remaining bounary changes of the early 70s Stockport is Greater Manc..I have mixed feelings about Stockport..it can be narrow and insular..but  it's parks and Victorian buildings are beautifu.

stockport isnt as bad as most make out. i live in great moor 15 minutes to the air port 20 mins to town. decent pubs in hazel grove cheadle. some of the best primary schools in the uk. its just bad if your in you early 20's and lazy and hang around the bad parts+bars. dont go to edgeley brinny adswood or offerton estate youll be fine. and dont drink in cobdens or barbooza. people talk about stockport like you get stabbed the moment you step outside your house.

Oh Stockport Town is wonderfull! The town centre might me a bit of a poorly planned 90's shithole, but it is home, and I love it. I defy any Stopfordian having a pint of Robbies in the underbank/market area, to say Stockport is a shit hole..
