  • 0-60 in 7 seconds? Who's driving?

  • I just bought an 08 Si. Only had 37k miles. It's a fun car to drive. I love night driving. Guages lit up and the Halogen headlamps are nice! =)

  • @kecomatic94 me too! Or at least I'm gonna try to. The premium gas blows though

  • ok it has 195 hp but only 139 torque? comeon my scion xb has over 150 torque! torque is what moves the damn car

  • @adcstmh Yea but I bet the SI would spank your shitty scion. Besides, I always see chicks driving scions.

  • @Fr33man1988 ok? im getting a mustang anyway so idc

  • @adcstmh Doesn't matter what your getting.....your driving the scion now and talking shit about the SI, that makes you a douche bag.

  • @Fr33man1988 wow really? i didnt say anything bad about the damn car, it just needs more torque u bitch, ur a honda guy who thinks hes the best cause he owns a honda. i respect hondas but ur 1 of the owners who gives them a bad name and my scion is modded alot so it probley would, stop bein a fanboy u "douche bag"

  • @adcstmh Modded my ass...don't try to sound all cool now. You drive a bitch car no matter how modded it is. By the way, "A lot" is two words you stupid fuck.

  • @Fr33man1988 ok it has a weapon-r cai weapon-r s-pype with no cats a trd performance muffler a thottle body spacer and a custom chip, yah thats modded u dumbass and ur not no damn teacher so dont act like it y dont u go drive ur ricer and keep dreamin cause u r never going to own a car like this and who respounds to a 2 mouth old commit just to fight over utube?

  • @adcstmh Have to disagree. Torque pushes you, but HP pulls you. The Scion will get the Civic on take off, but once she clicks 3rd, you're done. Thats prooven. My friend Mike has a 08 Civic Si Sedan and my friend Matt has a Scion tC. They raced, Mike won. Asnwer your questions? Good.

  • hate the dash, this ain't fucken tron

  • i jus bought a 2008 civic si today its my first manuel and its fun as hell and easy to drive too

  • Was that Steve hammes

  • this car is sick. this is gonna be my first car this summer

  • @kevomatic94 I'm gonna get mines tomorrow though it's used it only has 3 k miles! I recently did a test drive and it's pretty quick for a sedan. Hope you get yours as well

  • Comment removed

  • I just dont like that LOOOONNG dash, and Gauges. those are the only things i hate about the car.

  • a quick 0-60 time is useful if you ever want to get laid

  • this car would be great if it didnt have a little bitch under the hood & if it wasnt FWD

  • @mellowdalyricist What NA 4-cyl do know that can pump out as much hp? That's right...other Honda motors. GTI, WRX, Cobalt, SRT4, etc all need turbos.

  • Perfect car in these economic times.

  • 0-60 in 7 seconds thats very slow , ill buy a faster car instead the civic si

  • @VanGalo90

Because having a car with a very quick 0-60 is just going to be so useful to you.

  • @VanGalo90 It makes 0-60 in 6,6

  • too bad my v8 mustang gt gets 20 city and 33 highway. awhhh honda fails. no longer are you the only dealership with a car that has good gas mileage. bahaha. and just letting ya know, fords last longer than hondas. especially for the past 10 years ;) look it up. it's on the records bud :)

  • @StevenBTT fuck fords

  • @StevenBTT I'm going to have to call bs on that last part. Send me the link (instead of saying look it up)? As you made the assertion the burden of proof is on you.

  • 139 ft lb of tg?

my moms stock vw has 45 more and cost 5k less!

  • Unimpressive gas mileage, grainy looking nav screen, cramped back seat (what is he talking about?), incredible lack of torque, and gearbox plagued with problems (just google civic si transmission problem), all combine to make this car one to pass up...

I love Civics and I always buy Honda, but this car is not worth the lofty price tag. The power is unusable and awkward, as it surges forward right at 6000rpms and pulls hard to the 9000rpm redline. Harsh ride too.

  • 0:49 The engine needs valve adjustments? It's ticking.

  • @ddaovvaj no just noisy injectors. i have one and everyone asks me that. and the alternator is pretty loud too.

  • Them therein aluminum peddles added an extra 10 hp.. HOODANG!!

  • I liked this car, quiet and a smooth ride. For the price it comes greatly equipped.

Only thing i disliked about this vehicle was the huge A and B pillars!

  • i test drove it today, the gearbox and clutch on this car are awesome and superrr fun

too bad it's FWD but still worth it

  • @vehlajatt22 ive had all kinda cars im also a front end and suspension tech and a front drive has many advantages ,,,,it luvs curves i have this car and with a few suspension upgrades i outpase alot of superfast cars around the twistys

  • i drive a 5.4 L F150 and i just tried my friends 2010 civic today.... im gettin one

  • for this used how much would it be about, nice vid btw.. ?

  • @raymoney07 It would probably be about anywhere from 17-20 thousand.

  • I am completely new to manual driving. Is it okay that I start on this car?

  • @FuzzyAirwaves no you'll mess it up. good idea to get a little practice first

  • @FuzzyAirwaves no, geo metro is the way to go.

  • @FuzzyAirwaves My first manual tranny was a 2007 si. I would highly recommend an si as a first manual car. Very fun to drive.

  • I got the SI and replaced rear spoiler with a grip tuning aluminum wing, added a CAI and a couple Type-R stickers for added HP....now I smoke 'vettes and foxbodys, lol

  • @jsuttonus sounds rice

  • nothing like a high compression motor from factory. 12.5:1 is pretty nuts for a factory motor.

  • Comment removed

  • @313foxbody420 its 11:1 not 12.5:1

  • sadly its a FWD which completely kills the sportiness and just 7 seconds???lol my scooby dose it in half that well almost...

  • yeah, sure it does. 3.5 secs my ass

  • @Enemyofreali7y i said almost...its like 4.2 or 4.3....which is not bad considering stock is 4.7

  • @blindrawing agreed. Ever since i drove my first RWD car i was hooked. Power deliverly is so much better and handling is unmatched. I wonder what will happen the day i drive my first AWD car. lol.

  • @mucura1 yea RWD is great i love a z man but AWD makes a big difference in the rain..as where a FWD or RWD would just spin on a hard takeoff. but i did just recently pick up a FWD car its a 06 GLI and i love driving it it handles great for a fwd car and it even pulls the front end up when i take off hard. ive already done some work to it and so far its been great! but its scary to drive fast in the rain with it being it has some low profiles haha...but i cant complain after all its german! haha

  • better than an SL huh???

  • sentra S-ER is better

  • @degaik not at all

  • Manual Tranis are brilliant, realy fun to drive, and if it breaks u dont have to spend 5K on a new one.

  • yeah cause real men drive auto. lotsa skill there. what, did you stall twice and give up?

  • @rkjpsn Seriously! There's NOTHING like driving a stick. It's not only fun, but makes you a much better driver. I only learned a few months ago and had my fair share of stalls, but I kept going and I'm loving it now!!!

  • @grado1000 good for you mate :) I just taught my cousin a few weeks ago, no he shifts ever so smoothly. I have an acura 1.7 el 5 speed manual, and its super fun, i have been driving manual since i was 14. best of luck dude

  • @acuratlnigga Acuras are great cars. I'm sure that it's a lot of fun =). My car was real tough to learn on unfortunately (2010 Mazdaspeed 3). The clutch is extremely UNFORGIVING for novices as the engagement is way too abrupt. I'm pretty good with it now though. ;) I have a video of me driving it if you're interested. It's very easy everyday driving though so I'm not driving very fast at all.

  • @grado1000 sounds cool is it in your profile, i will check it out right now

  • stick shift is the only way to drive man. I'm 18 and all I've ever driven is Manual. Once you can do it, you'll never want to go back.

  • Civic si suck 0-60 in 7 sec lol lol lol

  • 7 seconds is amazing!

  • f.w.d is gay

  • john.gor.gis is a cunt

  • @55NoThanks, Eh... just make yourself happy. I have a 550whp sleeper and sure enough I get all these kids doing the same. I just ignore it... its about what YOU want. Let these kids meet Mr. Darwin in person.

  • Comment removed

  • 551 to be exact and 573lb-ft. The mustang is modified, but it is debadged and rather mundane looking. Good news though, as you get closer to 40, they just ignore you because ... you know.. you're an old guy and you CANT be doing something wrong... LOL!

  • I drove all three, Mazda Speed (resale sucks on it), the WRX (NOT the STi, it's $10,000 more so it's not an apples to apples comparison) but I bought the Si Sedan. I get looks and compliments EVERY day on it and after two years I still look forward to getting into it. It's still tight and problem free and it's worth 90% of what I paid for it. Honda...gotta love em!

  • Comment removed

  • @Ride951 i agree. had mine for 3 years now. has 76k miles and no problems. and i havent got tired of driving it yet.

  • can it beat my STi?

  • Only in comfort.

  • @ReassuringSmile yes, the price tag

  • I actually looked into and test drove the Si coupe 2008 new for 25k w/ navi and all, yet I found a used 06 STi with 20,000 miles for 22k. and its awd turbo baby ;)

  • One of the best cars in the world!

  • The only competition for the Si is the GTi, EVO and STi. Si is far CHEAPER and therefore superior.

  • mazdaspeed 3 is cheaper and faster hmmm

  • cheaper than 21k!?

  • well, it would obviously be a used one, but yes, you can find MS3 for the same or cheaper on autotrader

  • @GTOvsSTI ummm ... Not sure about US, but MSRP for Si in canada is $26.8k, and MSRP for MS3 is $33.9k. You can't compare new and used.

  • actually MS3 is the best for the money in this price range but you also have the base WRX and lancer along with the sentra ser that is slightly cheaper depending on the options and in some ways better performance

  • @380Banshee i would agree with the gti, but the EVO and STi are in another realm of horsepower and handling.

  • @380Banshee Great logic dumb ass, its FWD with no torque... pretty sure it's NOT superior.

  • @380Banshee u seriously cant compare a si to a evo and sti....a gti yes...but seriously dude? i own a Si and i wouldnt even say i can compete with a evo or sti....im sure i could keep up...but unless the evo or sti driver misses every gear and is freaking retarted...theres no way an si can compete...and those 2 cars are in a whole new class...the Si is more comparable to a SS colbolt, GTI, or scion tc, or sentra spec v...

  • Nah, if I wanted a fast car, I'd still stay with a Japanese car. S2000, 370Z, GT-R? I would never buy a domestic car.

  • does this car only come in manual transmission?

  • since when?

  • I just sold me 2008 civic si with for 2009 mustang GT. There is huge different between two cards. If u needfamily car go with CIVIC, but if u need pure muscle then Americans.

  • Six speed only. No Si has ever been offered in an automatic, except maybe the CRX Si way back in the 80's. I'm not sure about that one. I have an '07 Si coupe, and it's a stealth bomber. Cops can hardly spot it in a sea of big SUVs.

  • ah I see, thanks for letting me know

  • The SI only comes in manual transmission!!!

  • yes it is only in maual

  • the Si is manual only

  • I love this car.

  • The 2009 front end is even more beastly.

  • naw the front is only beastly when u got the high beams on

  • It's funny most people say the exact opposite.

  • do u have to put premium gas in it?

  • dont HAVE to but it might make your valves rattle. had to put regular gas in it for a week when the gas stations didnt get any gas for a few days.

  • yes :l

  • It has a knock sensor, so you don't have to. The thing is, the computer will retard the timing in the engine and make your car not perform as well. So if you want all the performance, you have to put premium gas in it.

  • yes. premium is the standard and recommended

  • great car

  • My mom has one of these. we have 5 cars and 4 of them are hondas. 3 civics and a oddysey, we rarely have any problems with the cars. except for mine but it has over 200,000 miles on it.

  • My friend has a 89 civic with 468,000 miles on it and has only replaced the water pump twice and the clutch. He is kind of hard on the car too. Probably hits 6k RPMs once a day at least. Hondas just don't die.

  • my neighbor used to have a honda civic and my other neighbor a pilot both have the same problem the transmission and the car had less 50000 miles..lol

  • ROFL altima se-r isn't a sport compact it's like a luxury sport car if you can call it that, the si is a sport compact, different pricing different performance.

  • 2.0 L? thats fast lol altima SE-R 260 horses 3.5L thats wats up

  • honda accord 3.5 286hp fuck nissan

  • 271bhp... and the vq3.5 is 304bhp reving to 8500rpm.

  • The VW35Hr revs to 7,500 at best. Still impressive...

  • not as fun to drive.

  • We can put a v6 in it, but not ON it. Plus that would defeat the purpose of the k20z3.

  • looks like a shoe...

  • Because thats obviously logical right?

  • lol i agree knew it wasnt just me

  • honda si sedan looks like a fish

  • what ever loser u just cant afford it

  • you look like a fish

  • @integrafoesho

    whats wrong with fish

  • why would high schoolers have to impress anyone?

  • your mama!

  • Nice I love this car. Got mine in July and its still a blast to drive. I really liked this vid since it was in RR, the same color as mine. :P

  • Holy crap, i felt bad for that Si. The guy test driving it sucked. Riding the clutch like an idiot.

Anyway, i have a black Si coupe, and i love it.

  • very nice car. Its definatly got some good power under the hood. Even that can be upped.

  • yeah r mom told me that last night

  • I can't wait to get my FA5! And to me, the biggest giveaway between the base model and the si would be the wheels and most obviously the si badges.

  • toss a k20 into a fit...charge 20,000 flat...it'll sell like hot cakes BOOOOY!!

  • Aint it the same as 07?

  • as for dash and exterior styling Honda can do better. And though the numbers are impresive on paper I was surprise how slow this car is. maybe in the next si they will drop in the 2.3

    turbo.

  • I dunno, I had an 07 Civic and thought the dash was awesome. I only changed to a RAV4 later so I could tow things.

  • they will never come stock turbo it would change the class of the car and honda won't do that the civic is a economy car. I have an 07 si sedan and its fast enough. there's plenty of mods you can do after you buy one.

  • Explain how a turbo on the SI would take it into another class. It's up against turbo cars in it's class. Mazdaspeed3, cobalt SS and VW GTI are in that class. The civic dx is a economy car that runs on regular. the SI is a performance car that runs on premium.

  • i got an ex but i wish i had a si

  • yeah... suks wen there is an Si drives up next to u huh?

  • ya it does. but i have si wheels so i fool them

  • lol.. uh thats it? what the spoiler? the Vtec sticker? or the muffler? its not that easy to fool an Si owner....

  • I could say i took all the stuff off. but a guy in a blue si came up to me and said nice si. and i have a magnaflow exhaust btw

  • OOORRRR you could just not be a poser and make your car look unique compared to the rest. Even if you DID own an Si, you NEVER remove the emblems, stickers, muffler, ect, because those are the things you are proud of if you spent the extra money to get the Si. You KEEP them on. If some guy came up in an Si and said "nice si" then he's a fricken idiot and wouldn't know the difference between the Si and Ex if it smacked him in the face...

  • takin it a bit too seriously buddy

  • nope...just giving straight facts, buddy. ask anyone who is proud of their car.

  • no buddy i think your taking it a little too seriously so fuck off

  • WOW no need for the language. YOU are taking it too seriously b/c you're getting pissed off. so stfu...and by the way, I'M NOT A GUY so kiss my ass.

  • i dont care if your not a guy. i still mean fuck off. and no i find this funny bc your getting so mad over something that has nothing to do with u

  • you are a giant douchebag. tell me how i'm getting mad? i was just stating my opinion about how you were posing saying you can "trick" people into thinking you have an Si...LMAO. i think it's hilarious. Don't comment back.

  • ok i didnt buy si wheels to trick people into thinking i have an si. i bought them bc the old wheels were bent. and not every si owner is a fucking genius in knowing about their cars.

  • well, as for the 08 Civics, the big giveaway are the gauges. Non Si gauges are blue, Si gauges are red.

Not to mention the seats, DOHC I-VTEC logo, ride height (which is not easy to tell from far away), exhaust...

But your right, a lot of Highschoolers wouldnt be able to tell unless it had the Si badge on the back.

  • You could debadge the car and make it a sleeper =)

  • The bumper and the bodykit is unique to the Si. and it would be too expensive to replace everything.

  • Yeah, and part of being a sleeper is being fast.

  • it is worth the extra couple grand

  • Wow, step dad has a white 08 si sedan...Im in love with driving it, the best part is the tight suspension and the short gears making driving city fun as hell..

  • high horsepower isnt the point of a civic.

  • What is?

  • handling?

  • great car but it needs lil make over. trany is good only in the begining. arm rest color is fadin away. rattling noise on the inside. seats and dash r dust magnets. the rest is very good.

  • Yeah...the new Civics rattle right out of the showroom.

  • all the boy racers out there will like this car.

  • i officially have a boner.

  • How's the suspension? Hard $ stiff? Regular? Soft and mushy?

  • its just a nice little car that is fun to drive and decently easy on gas mileage for around $20k

nice straight from the factory as it is.

    hate it or love it!

  • um why does it need premium

  • compression rates or something? lol fail reply is fail.

  • 139 ft lb trq? Aww, isnt that cute.
