@waveboreale Use your eyes. Look at a black photo and if the black is really black it's OLED. If it's a bit grayish and/or if you have minor bleeding around the edges it's TFT. Also if your phone is new it's TFT, only the first versions had OLED and if I'm not mistaken only the first OSF branded phones in the UK (not ZTE Blade) were OLED.

yes you can get bbc iplayer and flash player on the zte blade, you just have to look for them.

flash player is a little bit laggy, but it gets smoother if you switch to 240p on youtube

i dont know if this is because of my medium speed router, or the processor on this thing

dont expect any miracles from this phone, quite a lot of the apps available for higher priced phones arent available for this one

i wish id have got the orange monte carlo though

@Able2Freeze ...This phone started out supplied with an AMOLED screen but since late last year it only comes with a TFT screen. Unless you buy an earlier one second you will no longer be able to purchase one with an AMOLED screen.

@Ghost345621 3G is your data connection I fink, so go on 'Settings', 'then Wireless & Networks' then 'Mobile Networks' and it should say Data Connection at the top and after you tap the icon, it should turn off your 3G,therfore, you wont be charged for web surfin etc :-)

i had to get a new san fran my old one had a faulty battery my new one is now glass lead instead of glass truly.The display of my old tft truly was perfect but this new one the display is really dim on the lead version is it normal or should i get another one?.Does anybody know if there is a diffrence between the two displays ? thanks

i've got one of these, its a good phone, however the first one i had froze and now the second one works fine. however the battery life is dreadful, only last about 6-8 hours, then needs another charge. To beat that, i have bought a car charger. i have also bought a bluetooth hands-free-car-kit. But i will say that for £99 its not bad, the android apps store has loads of FREE APPS, where as the iphone, you have to pay for them.

My battery is on 3d 22h 32m and still 75% in battery indicator has mostly been on standby. People don't realise most apps keep running in the background unless you go into TASK MANAGER and KILL ALL this will increase life of battery along with TURN OFF WIFI and set screen brightness to low level.

One question that i have been wanting to ask. You have shown that the San Franciso has a USB cable & headphone & 2GB. Will that have it in the box if you don't get it from an official orange shop. I'm only asking because i might be getting one and i might be getting it from carphone warehouse. So i wanted to know that information before i go there and get the phone.

@SkyTubeHD Also just to let you know, I bought one yesterday from the orange shop and they no longer have the oled version in stock. They sent them all back to the manufacturers and are only allowed to sell the TFT version. To be honest though I wouldn't know the difference, the TFT looks nice and is very responsive. Also the internal memory on mine is 416mb not 150mb which was a nice surprise. I advise rooting the phone and putting a custom rom on though as orange have added loads of rubbish.

Haven't had any problems with wi-fi. Battery lasts about 2 days if you don't do anything. 1 day with light phone usage and internet here and there. Full 3G usage with internet, couple of hours at best..

That's my experience with my phone. No need to yell and spam if you get better results. And this is with the stock 2.1 Android.

@CheeseyCandy I guess you already know at this point, but it has about 4,5-5 hours of talk time on the new froyo 2.3 and lasts about 200 h in standby. I bought it and it works great. However, get the new froyo upgrade, it is so much better in every way. Also, to make the battery time more effective i suggest the advanced task manager app and its "kill-function".
