@64nejihyuuga Two premier balls are easy to get, just buy ten pokeballs (cheapest balls) then buy another ten separate.

Can you show me what a patch with a ralts looks like, or is it not always the same?

@chesskingknight: In Diamond and Pearl, Ralts are a Poké Radar-only Pokémon, so here they only appear in shaking patches with the yellowish flecks on them (like the three other patches that appeared with the shiny patch in the video).

In Platinum they appear in either kind of patch, since they aren't exclusive to the Radar in this version.

You stated "pokemon diamond", but why do I get the feeling that you are still referencing from a Platinum version Pokédex?..

In Diamond AND Pearl, Ralts appear on route 203, and route 204-south when using the Poké Radar. The latter of which was where I was chaining.

If u want to know ur chances of finding a shiny at a certain point in ur chain all u have to do is divide 8192 by what number your chain is at.

For example: say ur chain is at 22 and want to know your chances of finding a shiny pokemon, u just go 8192/22= 372. So at chain 22 you have a 1/372 chance of finding a shiny patch.

How many did you have to chain to get that?! I've made, like... 5 DIFFERENT chains of around 57 Ralts, and I know there's no easy way or anything, but seriously! -headdesk-

I don't remember the exact number of attempts I made, but judging by some of my old posts on Serebiiforums I got to a chain of 40 within 3 hours, and caught 21 Shiny Ralts over a couple of days.

That was back when I was a bit more patient with chaining ^_^;

The chance of a Shiny patch appearing peaks at 40, so as soon as you get to a chain of 40you should then stop increasing it and continually reuse the radar until a Shiny patch appears.
