I took a 60-foot hire boat up these locks last Sept. I can't imagine a better setting for locks anywhere in the canal system. They were easy to use and the view was very good, not to mention the weather was breezy but mild and dry when we passed Bosley. It was perfect! I still dream about The Macc! The serenity of these locks is unmatched!
