Thanksgiving Eve was written by Boston area folksinger and guitarist Bob Franke, not Isaac Guillory. A great song nevertheless, and your performance is nice
Wow, what a labour of love! How could you make it through without crying?! Thanks for keeping Isaac's style and sound alive-- you've inspired me to learn some of his songs, too!
I saw Isaac only once, playing with john Renbourn at the Ashcroft arts centre in Fareham Hampshire. Wish I had seen him play more often, wish even more that that filthy cancer hadn't taken him.
I love this song.
I am so sorry this great soul and astonishing, underrated guitarist had such a short life.
I am a student, and i did make this video in my room, and this is my transcription, but no i am certainly not Isaac! This is a song bye Isaac Guillory performed by me as a tribute and with the hope to keep his music circulating. Sorry for any confusion.
Very nice! saw isaac at the troubador club in London just a short while before he died., miss him lots. Keep his spirit and music alive. How about trying swinging little guitar man Sam?
really very good. i spoke with tommy emmanuel too when he came to norwich, a true great who couldn't say enough good things about isaac.
great performance, well done

Nice one Sam. You play this better than I ever could. Sham Isaac isn't still around so you could meet. You would have got on with him.

"Thanksgiving Eve" was not written by Isaac, but by Bob Franke. The original was on Bob's CD "In this Night"
Noted by spring74light, thank you i didn't realise.

I love this song.
Many times this has gotten me off to sleep.
I spoke to Tommy Emmanuel about Isaac last year and he was delighted that somebody wanted to talk about him.
There's an Isaac tribute page on MySpace
it's the usual url frollowed by /isaacguillory
Nice version of a wonderful tune, well done ;)

This man is not Isaac...he seems if anything to be a student...and was at his house one day and played a piece taught to, or written by himself...
But he's definately not Isaac
