  • @simonjamesodell I beleive that the key to interstellar travel is, understanding that everything is 1. A huge fractal. I beleive then it is possible to manipulate the universes own movements to get us from point A to B. It has to be a fractal! Giving the illusion of separation. And black holes.

  • @captcaveman4201 I concur somewhat, I do think that the key to overcoming the distance is to create some sort of quantum or other gateway between points in space rather than "going the long way".

  • hrm, debris which is non-luminous, and reflects ambient light as it's passing, thus appearing to appear out of nowhere and disappear again... is the most logical and reasonable conclusion.

Aliens... I wish... I really do, but I doubt that to be the case in this case.

  • @simonjamesodell why do you wish for aliens?

  • @NiklasNydahl Cause it would be cool to know that interstellar travel is possible!

  • @simonjamesodell Wouldn't it be cooler to focus on something more relevant - say solving starvation and poverty?

  • @NiklasNydahl No not really. Those problems could be solved pretty much instantly if we had access to the sort of technology level that E.T would need to have come here across the inter-stellar distances. Meeting them now could potentially leapfrog us several centuries of societal development, assuming of course that they don't have some equivalent to the star trek prime directive, and they have evolved past the need for any form of financial gain to help us out of our primitive hole.

  • At the end of the day, humanity in its current evolutionary form has been here for at least 200,000 years, and the absolute majority of people who have ever lived, did so in conditions which today would be considered desperate poverty. It's only in the last couple of decades that we have had any real ability to start to change that fact, and ONLY because we have evolved our technology using our intelligence. You can beat yourself and others up about the starving children all you like...(cont)

  • but unless your going to log off youtube, and go find a website that specailises in placing volunteer workers in places like Africa to help out with the problems and provide the benefits of education and so on, then your arguments are shallow, pointless and indicative of personality disorder.

Personally I'm content to simply give whatever spare change I can to charity, and to be an overall net contributor to the development of my field, knowing that the world has been improved.....(cont)

  • however slightly, by my having passed through it. If everyone adopted the same attitude progress would be a lot more rapid, however that is not going to happen and there is bugger all I can do about that and I refuse to wallow in a pit of woe about how awful humanity is and how terrible it is that we haven't yet achieved advanced high tech society.

Frankly I'd rather spend my time working towards that goal, than wasting time and resources lamenting the fact it has not yet been achieved.

  • @simonjamesodell simon i have a question/ theory of mine to ask you about the pyramids of egypt. i know that this may sound way off the deep end, BUT !! i think it may be the truth. im just going spit out my theory.. i beleive that the pyramids might have been expanded from their original size. You see geometric shapes play a fundimental role in physics. when combined with other forces strange things might take place.

  • @simonjamesodell size doesnt really matter with the physics the same rules apply. But i think that when the universe lines up certain ways you could trap the forces of the universe in a sort of tug of way against itself.like if you have a circle and put a square in it. at the spots where the square meets the circle are like sweet spots. well i think they might have created like and electric feedback loop inside of the pyramid. the aquaphers of running water make a natural current.

  • @simonjamesodell umm the pyramids dont look how they used to.. they were 3 different colors. 1 white 1black and 1 red. outter shells made out of different matterial. i think the way this deivce works was the tomb in the middle of it, wasnt for any king or queen. it was instead a switch. i know it sounds crazy but just follow a bit more.

  • @simonjamesodell say you could trap the energy inside this tomb. and it because it is trapped inside becaue of geometric and electical forces being manipulated. The energy changes the atomic structure of the elements. pulling at it and makes it stretch itself equally on all sides. UNTIL it really cant handle it anymore. and blasts the top off the tomb sending the energy through the channels and up into space. leaving behind the pyramids.

  • @captcaveman4201 hrm... that reminds me of a book I read once which if your into fantasy novels you would probably love. It was called "pyramids" by author Terry Prattchet.

In the book, the people of the desert river kingdom "Djelibabi" start building the biggest pyramid ever, only it's too big and powerful and it causes alsorts of chaos and flips the dimensions around by 90 degrees, such that left-right becomes forwards/backwards in time, forwards/backwards becomes left/right etc... (cont)

  • The whole kingdom disappears from the map, and all the people's beliefs start to come true, which unfortunately for them means that the rather nasty gods they believe in become real and start stomping around the place like they own it.

The pyramid causes loops in time, and the workers start to exploit that fact to send different versions of themselves to work whilst collecting years worth of pay in advance...etc etc.

It was a great read, and I think you would really enjoy it.

  • @simonjamesodell the things that really made me think of this theory is 1 the tomb itself. if you look at it, it is made out of some sort of crystals/looks liek top was blasted off. 2 the top of the great pyramid still has some of the outter casing on its top. where the hell did the rest of it go? 3 the precision that there is no spaces inbetween the blocks not even for a piece of paper to fit in. if it grew the material touching would be fused together snug. 4 the math equations built into it.

  • @simonjamesodell like pi the golden mean and even the speed of light.. but yet history books say that we didnt learn about the speed of light until much later. Those mofos actually did it !! it is possible to expand matter !!! DUDE WE ARE GOING TO GO TO SPACE !!! and to new earths !!

  • @simonjamesodell LOL what's lacking is NOT complex technocratic "solutions" that would only further alienate us from the physical as this earth. What's lacking for 1/3 of the earth's population is obviously MONEY. Resources and the means to distribute them are also not lacking. Step one has to be the implementation of a system based in the principle of Equality. Stop deluding yourself with fiction and commit yourself to life on this earth - investigate Equal Money System

  • You can LOL all you like, what you call further alienation, my anarcho-primitivist friend, I call further integration with the true physics we came from and lost connection with. The physics described by the Tao, the Zen masters, etc. The future is full understanding of physics and harnessing of the infinite forces of the universe for the benefit of all mankind, no other task is even close to as important as that.

But do carry on bleating and practising your generic brand of text-domination..
