I havent listened to Amos for maybe 16 yrs now....

Musically her stuff still shines...

Lyrically, her stuff sounds a bit pretentious and overly self-conscious. A lot of her stuff are what you would expect from a college-aged girl trying to impress listeners rather than just say something.

Still worth listening too, but to act like she is a brilliant songstress/lyricist is sort of a stretch.
