  • As much as I would love for this to come out on the PC (Yes, I read up that they're planning it, but whether or not it's actually gonna come out I don't know), and as much as this looks awesome, there;s one thing I'm already irked about: They changed the shell horn (Conch) music from the triumphant "Puzzle SOLVED" from the original to a rather quiet tune.

  • no commentary??

  • Is this ever going to hit Wii in the U.S or U.K? This looks right up my alley.

  • Hey, did they keep the Hell temple and the part with the swimsuit?

  • The game looks solid, and I'm liking a lot of the new changes and newly added areas. I gotta say though, I think the audio felt more cohesive in the original. The new music is missing some of its old r"thump" and bass, and some of the new sound effects feel a bit disjointed between PS1 era and SNES era. I'm surprised they changed the conch noise too.

Well, hopefully newcomers will check out both versions. I'm just looking forward to the release now!

  • 食べないように。 <--- "Don't eat it."

    laff

  • Does anyone have an Idea why this is half English half Japanese?

  • i await the US release eagerly

  • I just got this game for my region free wii. The funny thing is the story line is in English but when you talk to people its in Japanese and I have no clue what there saying :p...ok I'm going to make an attempt to play this game and see if I can figure it out

  • I'm waiting for La-Mulana and retro City Rampage, but none of them seems to come.

  • Enough Wii points to be granted the ability to read Japanese

  • how man wii points is this?

  • Oh... I if there's one con I can point out, it's the ladder physics. Sometimes I want to jump, but end up automatically climbing a ladder. It's a bit of pain sometimes.

  • It would have been pretty neat if they would have allowed a usb keyboard as a method of controlling the game, just to give it that original feeling.

  • Is the game really this dark when you're playing it on the Wii? There are a lot of details I can't see at all because of how black everything is.

  • @KittyCatTV

There's an option in the menu to increase the light level, so don't worry.

  • @Hiroy Thank you very much, that is a relief to me. In many games I play, if there's an option like that, I end up using it.

  • this music HNNNNNNNG.

    Game looks amazing!

  • can't wait for the soundtrack

  • Hmmm, Amphisbaena doesn't seem like he moves as fast as shown in the TGS 2010 upstreams. Guess they might have slowed him down, however I guess I could understand, before he looked very cheap with his old speed!

I can't wait for this game to get released elsewhere! Looks great!

  • You are my hero. Subscribed!

  • So beautiful...

The US release had better be soon.

  • 6:15 best ruins intro ever

  • Its in Asian...

  • Are you planning on streaming the rest?

On a related note, figured out Anubis yet? =\

  • Words cannot describe how bloody much I'm excited about this series.

If i may make one request...if only to stand there for a few minuites to get the music...Get to the Giant's Graveyard as soon as you can. Please.

  • @rossmallo The music there is incredible, I only hope we can progress past it. I'm stuck on my farthest file, there's a new puzzle involving the confusion gate/gate of illusion that has me and my buddy both stumped.

  • @MegaUltraJMan Well, knowing them, I'm calling moved invisible ladder.

If it's blatantly not that, can you describe it? Maybe someone with no preconceptions of the situation (*coughcoughme*) May be able to shed light on it.

  • @rossmallo It's not moved, there's a wall that blocks off the main portion of the gate now, and the entire area is hazy and covered in vegetation while new music plays. I believe a new item is needed to break the illusion.

  • Looks nice, though I'm guessing we'll never see a pc release.

  • it does look even better on youtube compared to the stream,

    -Vansword.

  • Hahaha, you're gonna keep calling the map system Google Earth? That's great.

  • We better get the NA version soon...

  • Were there any significant sequence breaks from the past that aren't doable now? I recall the "jump in the wall" part isn't doable anymore.

  • @SivakD Most of the old ones are gone, though there seems to be a nice deal of new ones, like damage boosting in the Tower of Ruin to access the spears and fighting Viy early.

  • I'm sorry if this has been addressed before, but does this game support the Gamecube controller?

  • @Ulttimaa Yes, it's been confirmed on the official La-Mulana website.

  • Can you comentate on this? To make it let's playish kinda thing?

  • aww this isnt a lets play well ill still watch

  • However the game looks magnificent.

  • Hmm, don't like the conch noise. I liked the original noise it made.

Does anyone know how much this costs in Japan?

  • Missed your stream, the game looks pretty good.

What's your impression so far? Good changes, bad changes? How does speedrunning look like it's gonna work?

  • @Reconcilia7ion

    Good changes:

Smoother movement, overall faster, new enemies, bosses are difficult now, music is still fantastic, item locations changed in some cases, new puzzles and items, new minibosses

Bad changes: Conch noise D:, trap damage is INSANE

  • Dammit, J! I can't watch this because I can't play the game yet!

  • god damn the music is amazing

  • Google earth exe? I approve of this.

  • aww its not a lets play D:

  • Niceee :D

  • Awesome, I'll be watching this.
