I was at this gig - also in the 500s, but on the opposite side of the stadium. I only went so I could see Elbow, and I wasn't disappointed (other than the fact that their set was about an hour too short!)

Same with me! I actually stayed for only a few Coldplay songs because I was solely there to see Elbow. I don't think anyone in my section knew Elbow though, my sister and I were the only people who got excited haha

It was kind of the same in our section - when the lights went down and the first notes of Starlings started playing, everyone got up and cheered. And then when the Elbow logo flashed up, nearly everyone around us started groaning. (Although to be honest, I would have assumed that all the people who were there solely for Coldplay would have realised that a) it wasn't one of their songs playing, and b) that Coldplay would have a support act. But maybe I give them too much credit).

woah, people went just for elbow? haha that's cool. they were pretty good, never heard them before that. the band before them was soo crappy though!
