Man, the boy's face at 8:05 used to scare me when I was a child, and it still sacres me in someway. I remebered I could not even sleep after seeing that expression!!

I used to have this on VHS when I was very little... how wonderful to see it again! It's probably been 25yrs or more!

I Love this and I'm glad I can watch it again. I went several years without seeing it until now.

This was the opening of "Melody Time" a 75 min long musical Disney animation from 1948. Disney later released it as a short. I grew up watching these cartoons over and over on VHS and Beta. I fell in love with all of the classic cartoons, but when my tapes wore out I thought I would never be able to enjoy them again. I'm so glad for the recent digital re-releasing of the media world!

But it was released in Video as a separate short too, I believe it was included in some form of winter time or holiday season VHS by Disney from the 80s or 90s. But if you enjoy this, check out Melody Time. It's great.

I love this cartoon; it's been one of my favorites since I was about three or four. Thanks *SO* much for posting it! I always think the real heroes are the birds, the mares and the squirrels, all coming to the rescue when the human boy and the boy rabbit are incapacitated.

I agree! The poor boys tried, but to no avail. The animals are definitely the heroes here.
