  • This party is allegedly what bathtub gin is about

  • This is fantastic! To whoever uploaded this and the other vintage Phish videos, THANK YOU!!! I saw my first show in 93, and from there, they've been my favorite band... having followed them and seen many many shows. Some folks don't like them and that's okay. Not everyone likes all types of music. But hey, this is a treasure of a find! Thanks again!

  • Trey's guitars ate made by Paul Languedoc. They are available to anyone with about $10,000.

  • treys hair!!

  • It was the first song they played that day, if I remember right -- but that was a long time ago. Nobody was surprised that Phish went on to reach amazing heights -- everyone knew they were awesome. I only saw them twice after UVM. Once, when they played Laguna Seca in Monterey, CA, maybe 1993? I chatted with Page and invited him over for dinner but he had plans with his girlfriend. I also saw them at the Shoreline in Mountain View, CA with guest tickets, but didn't speak with anyone.

  • incredible! The dogs walking around are more interested in the music than the people!

  • YEAAAAAA'.. FUNK Wilson!

  • think Trey was channeling Dylan and Zappa a little while singing this. I can almost guarantee that Fish has no recollection of this show whatsoever.

  • I've heard these shows, but never in my life imagined I'd see them.

Trey has sort of a Wierd Al thing going on.

  • i wonder how many of the people at this party saw Phish once they had gotten big.

  • i wonder how many people at this party saw Phish at a later concert, when they were really huge.

  • This is mind blowing.

  • Trey starts singing like Bob Dylan. He is having fun... so great.

  • trey's singing is the best

  • haha i wanna go back to this video in the past, and walk up to trey and be like "Do you know in about 10+ years you are going to throw sold out festivals with the of 80 thousand fans showing up to see you? And that you will be ranked as Rolling Stone's top 100 guitarists'? and sell millions of CDs and DVDs? and you will purchase 3 Guitars at $10,000 each? And jam with Carlos Santana and Neil Young?"

  • @BlackBerry7689 his guitars are built by his guitar tech.

  • Amazing. its like they came out of the box, already talented and ready for a tour... and haven't really changed since...! Like, who wrote all these subtle, weird little lyrics that they still sing to this day? and who would sing them at a backyard party? Only them.

  • Where are the wooks???? ;-)

  • mike is look awesome/hilarious with that bass style

  • can you still have fun?

  • definantly a boogie, treys played mesas for a majority of his career

  • what is that lil ditty at th ebeginnin anone now?

  • OMG

  • If you are the guy taking pics at 4:24 can you send me copies of those? Vintage stuff.

  • mesa boogie head, custom built cabinet

  • i really think its awesome how trey's voice has "matured" (even though i dont wanna call it that), but its sweet to hear these old tapes.

Also, he sounds just like he did on TMWSIT during this

  • best band to ever play music.

it's not possible to explain the feeling you get when you watch this video if you're a long time phish fan, only other phans can relate

  • Can you put up the rest?? or some other footage from them at this time?

    please?????

  • @rigelIV still going to shows phanner?

  • It's really cool and interesting to hear/see this song in the stage before the crowd participation/chanting came about ("Willllllll-sonnnnnnnnnnnnn).

  • waving backdrops of undulating tye-dies! awesome!!!!

  • get a haircut and a job, you hippie!!!

  • You lucky bastard Rigel. I would bow to you if I could, but these are only words, they have no true value.
