my tip is pretty simple and easy to do, easy.. never wear a belt (the one that has steel head) it will just make the security personel check your clothes once u walk pass the sqaure thing lol i dont know what the name is (also avoid having coins in your pocket) in some airports like Thailand, if you have a laptop, securtity personel will also take it out.. so if just incase this happens, make sure your laptop is on top of your stuff in the luggage.(have been doing this for 10 years and im 15 :P)

I can't put my shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, etc, in my carry on bags. That "packing the things from your pockets" thing is a good idea though. I have a separate spot in my carry on bag where I put those things. Makes it quick and easy on me, as well as the folks behind me.

Okay, I am really, really, REALLY confused. Even in some of the largest airports in the US, I have never taken 90 minutes to check one of my bags. Maybe 10 minute detour from the security lines, tops. I've also yet to have a bag not show up at the airport with me, though I do know it happens. People who bring too large and too many check in bags? That's what adds 90 minutes to my trip because then it takes forever to get everything stowed and/or having to put in check in anyway!
I don't agree with the whole don't check luggage, yes it can get lost but it really depends on the airline, I have never had my luggage get lost but I have heard Delta loses it a lot (which I don't fly). Also it has never taken me 90 minutes to check luggage, plus you have to realize if you're bringing toiletries they have to be under 3 oz to take in your carry on which isn't much if you're going on a long trip.

On a sidenote: I can't believe the people of the USA didn't revolt against their government when they, without as much as ASKING the citizens, signed the patriot act which basically removed ALL RIGHTS from them. A person can now be detained forever, without trial, without arrest, if the government thinks you are affiliated with terrorists.

Okay, I am really, really, REALLY confused. Even in some of the largest airports in the US, I have never taken 90 minutes to check one of my bags. Maybe 10 minute detour from the security lines, tops. I've also yet to have a bag not show up at the airport with me, though I do know it happens. People who bring too large and too many check in bags? That's what adds 90 minutes to my trip because then it takes forever to get everything stowed and/or having to put in check in anyway!

I don't agree with the whole don't check luggage, yes it can get lost but it really depends on the airline, I have never had my luggage get lost but I have heard Delta loses it a lot (which I don't fly). Also it has never taken me 90 minutes to check luggage, plus you have to realize if you're bringing toiletries they have to be under 3 oz to take in your carry on which isn't much if you're going on a long trip.

When passing ports like this, if you want to that is...do as security tell you to do and you'll be sat on the beach in no time. Dont preach crap to them about your bill of rights because they dont care, it doesnt apply in an airport when your leaving and arriving in any country. It will only slow you down.

@costateguise We have begun a new era of terrorism. There will never be another 911 type attack. Before 2001 people assumed that "terrorists" took over planes for hostages. Now everyone realizes that is no longer the case. That is why the 3rd or 4th plane crashed into a field because everyone rushed the cockpit. To be honest I feel more safe in the U.S. I've never seen so many fights in my life as when I was in Wales & England. Not to mention stabbing people is all the rage there these days.
