I try to tune out the constant bias of the announcers as it becomes a form of subliminal seduction. Shortly after the Blount incident an announcer for Oregon State was caught drunk, eating napkins and falling asleep in his food, while on a team road trip. A group of kids got phone video and posted on youtube making light of people who drink too much (they had no idea who he was). But think back on the great defensive players: Butkus, Greene (Joe and Kevin), Lott, LT, Deacon Jones. Nitschke, Lambert. You could have said worse things about every one of them. Sometimes we forget what is happening out there and what it takes to be king of the hill. Given time to mature, I feel he may end up one of the best ever!

vontaze got victimized again and again by pac 10 refs last year. Other teams would gameplan to try to goad him into personal fouls and he took so many late hits and shoves and pushes after the whistle that the refs would ignore, and when he would shove back one time late in the game the refs would flag him right away.
