a great concert...the only blip was fazal quereshi missing on the chakradhar...otherwise fazal was excellent and so was niladri's sitar.

zakir's playing created an illusion towards the end...no words can describe his skill..

This is truly divine stuff that is such a blessing to receive from these gifted divine artists. We are forever indebted and grateful to them and especially allah rakha and his entire gifted sons. I especially loved the lavani and the 3 standing mridungs. Just curious which part of india are they from Manipur or Orissa. I could watch them for hours. Thank you thank you and Thank again!

Thank You for this 'Moving Experience'. May GOD Bless you for your kind efforts. My son Shiva would like this Divine Percussion Concert. He was an Aspiring Musician and Full of Love. However, Shiva was Killed by a Drunk Driver on Oct 16, 2005, in New York at age 21.

Check out Shiva Patraju on youtube. We have been attending Classical and Percussion Concerts with Zakir Ji in New York since Shiva was 8 yrs old. Shiva was our ONLY Child. Respect, Shiva's Dad, Enric. I enjoyed this video for Him.

@kuggeeboy I'm sorry for your loss. I looked at your son's video on youtube he was very knowledgeable with regard to tabla. Who was his teacher? I'm humbled by your son's talent. Gems like him don't stay around too long...they are made for something better. :)

My favourite part in this concert has to the small improvisations Ustad Zakir does at 25:40 with the rolling of the left hand fingers...its a very small portion of this concert, only lasting less than a minute, but it sounds so amazing!
