You are right that my 5 million does contain washtenaw county but my mistake is that Washtenaw is not part of the "metropolitan statistical area". If you take out Washtenaw the population of the strictly urban-Metro Detroit is still 4.4 million people. Once again you have failed at proving any point what so ever. If you look at the states numbers without Detroit they are on line with the rest of the country, which economically would make it no better or worse than Ohio in that regard.

the best part about your metrodetroit comment is that according to the population u listed, it would consist of the surrounding counties, including the one which holds your beloved Ann Arbor as part of it. so what you've effectively done is say that AA is part of the statistical base of michigans trashy unemployed worthless people

You are right that my 5 million does contain washtenaw county but my mistake is that Washtenaw is not part of the "metropolitan statistical area". If you take out Washtenaw the population of the strictly urban-Metro Detroit is still 4.4 million people. Once again you have failed at proving any point what so ever. If you look at the states numbers without Detroit they are on line with the rest of the country, which economically would make it no better or worse than Ohio in that regard.

Smee...all you need to know is that U of M grads have better employment rates after college then OSU grads. If you want to argue that ohio, or some county is not as bad as OHIO as a whole....Be my guest. I could care less if some kid from a Michigan Community College that is on the same level as OSU can't get a job. Both states are at the bottom of employment, it's like bragging that you came in 45th place to the 50th place finisher.
