Beutiful software, if used right it can seem hollywood grade! Though I think the more convincing effects are found in sci fi films (flames and blood spurts in action films aren't exactly realistic if focused on for a seccond) but overall great buy! If you get it on the holiday sale it's a well worth it deal!
It didnt actually help me at all but then i found out that i have to click one of the effect folders so it shows the turning/moving rings so now i know how to do it!
i have this sortware but i have a problem my rendered video is 2x faster than my original video speed when its playing. how to make it slow or back it to normal speed of playing? and i check if theres a problem to my windows media player but its playing normally to the other video. its playing so fast only in my rendered video in this software. pls.. can you help me about my problem T_T sorry for my bad english.
@markjason2 It sounds like your project settings might be wrong. Check out the 'framerate' and 'scan method' settings in particular when starting a new project, as they will affect playback speed.
Do you mean the blue-skinned guy? I believe that was a grad object masked to cover just his face, then probably a simple hue shift. It was created many years ago so I'm not entirely sure. :)
Ok I have sony vegas platinum for a movie maker so now I want to know witch is better for effects. Should i get effects lab and vision lab or should I upgrade to sony vegas pro 9? please respond.
I'm afraid I don't fully understand the question. You wouldn't need to get EffectsLab AND VisionLab, because VisionLab contains all of EffectsLab's features.
Whether you get a VFX application such as VisionLab or an editing app such as Vegas Pro 9 depends on your own needs - they're completely different products designed to do different things. Go for whichever one you need the most!
What does the eye at the end represent? Illuminati?

No, VisionLab Studio is a standalone product.
However, we do make a couple of plugins for AE - MuzzlePlug (muzzle flashes) and PowerPlug (electricity).
More info over at the FXhome website.
