  • Hi Aussie Family, Wendy and my self have done the one day tour and he is good as his word on how to find gold, after Aussie BBQ lunch we went out and we both found small nuggets on the property. Well worth the money that you pay for the course. Greckie also help us on what we should have for the big trip that we were going to do to the gold fields to Western Australia, even right down to what he recomends for a Fridge and Camper trailer. regars Famo

  • I find it really weird watching this video because greckie is my dad, and it was really weird at the start where your standing on the balcony which comes off my room haaha. But i like the vlog!

  • trabalho em garimpo de ouro no Brasil há mais de 20 anos, prefiro o ace 250 para procurar pepitas, não gosto do gpx, muito barulhento, consome muita bateria, pesado, enfim o

  • Well done, next time you see Greckie tell him Jennifer up in Canada says hi...... Good choice on the Nugget Finder coils, that's all I use on my GPX as well.

  • @kimdaviscali - Will do... :)

  • Awesome vid I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am new to prospecting, heading out this weekend actually! I noticed you also were into buying and selling gold. I have some money to invest in gold or silver I'd love to hear your recommendations, I'd love you forever if you sent me a private message. Cheers!

  • @brindabellaoffroad - Buy as much as you can of both gold and silver as it is going to go through the roof in 2012...

  • love the intro

  • I finally got around to watching the video.

Excellent stuff,Darren and congratulations on your haul.

I will definitely give this tour a go some day.

    Cheers for the upload.

  • excellent video, Bob & I go way back, we had a great time in WA in 2008 & 2009 & I found a nice 15 gram sunbaker. keep up the good work. It's all about the gold!

  • i only found this channel TODAY. youtube needs a system that works, not a thumb.. a multi million pound business run by a thumb.

  • that look like fun

  • cool vid.

  • Now if You are coming to the States I live in a Town here in California that is great for Gold detecting. Just PM Me if Ya want more info.

  • Did well for a first effort, helps that you had great help, and the field is private, so better chance of getting a positive hit.

My Bro in Law does detecting from time to time, Dunolly is one of his fav places. If i recall the caravan park has Pizza Fridays, where you make your own and cook them in a pizza like oven.

  • If you end up finding gold doing this would your company buy it?

  • @MrWirelessFeet - Yeah sure, but we are doing this more for the enjoyment, it was just so good to get out of the day to day life of being at home... No kids, just Katie and I...

  • @ThatAussieFamily Thats awesome. All depending on price this could become my new "fishing" weekends

  • thanks for taking the time to share this with us ps your right Kate is cute

  • @broons316 - You are very welcome my friend, thanks for taking the time to watch, comment and rate... It really is appreciated man... :)

  • I had a SD 2000 Minelab. Had 3 dishes. 18, 12 and 6 inch. I found some heritage in the Victorian fields that previously was undetected prior too the technology. I slept in the very dugouts from the past. Me and my mut would go off for days. I have since woken up to the money game. Not for me. Nice vid. The SD could go through Mineralised ground.

  • @unclewooly - what do you mean Money Game bro?

  • @ThatAussieFamily I woke up one day 2 years ago and realised that the life that the government would have us live is a fraud. Designed to get nowhere. I was a sales rep with company car, phone and credit card. I rented a place by myself and was struggling to survive. I got behind on the credit card and paid $300 a week interest on my shortfall. Upwards of 70 hours a week work and going nowhere. I live a debt free self sufficient life now. Money is like a drug. Very addictive.

  • @unclewooly - Yeah, I chased money for years and made millions, but these days its really not that important to me... Hence the reason we sold our big house and fancy cars... Not into it...

  • @ThatAussieFamily Good for you man. Lifes too short. Most people don't realise they are a prisoner within their homes. The only difference is, Folk get too choose the curtains.

  • @unclewooly - LOL... I like that one..."Folk get too choose the curtains"... That's a WINNER!

  • Did you find any Jackjumpers? hahahahaha!

  • @Wallabytrack - No, but those bastards are vicious...

  • @ThatAussieFamily Just Make sure you have some polarmarine Antihistamine Tablets with you for the itch and swelling ,The JJ's can bring on Aniphylactic shock pretty quick too,I get bitten quite frequently,my legs are ok' it my hands and wrists that swell up,I have been bitten on the neck, with no problems.Oh' well the CSIRO have been testing the venom for a Cure for Cancer,so that might be a bonus if you get bitten,LOL!

  • Great find Darren, interesting stuff metal detecting, you never know whats out there in different places in the world, a friend of mine has an old farm and they find old coins and old keys here and there, you need to find the gold at the end of the rainbow, theres loads, lol

  • aww man...40 minutes? i gotta wait until the weekend to get the chance to see this now =/

  • @R0ccojas0n - Really worth it Jason...

  • I have always wanted to do this! I am fascinated with finding stuff that has been in the ground for "who knows how long"? One day you guys are gonna find that Million Billion year old KFC that the Ms was going on about!

  • @Klewdin - LOL...

  • The land around those parts is really beautiful. I wonder how much gold is undiscovered and buried in those hills? It's so different than the Alaskan gold rush when everybody was looking in streams. Thanks for taking us along. -Steve-

  • @OceanTownPictures - They did do stream around here, but most of them speared holes and went down deep looking for the gold reefs.

  • Looks like a fun experience! Gold and metal detecting always fascinated me!

  • @juiicyxoprincess - We are a little addicted to it now... :)

  • hey darren it is great to hear that you katie had a great weekend.. my great uncle use detect for gold nuggets in bengio years ago.. he was lucky to find a 10gram nugget..

i hope you have luck to find a nice big peace..

all the best to you and your family

  • @MrTerryTurtle - We are already planning future trips.

  • haha "if you blink...you'll miss it." That says it all. You know what? I love how you're always pointing out how beautiful Katie is!! You guys are an adorable couple! If you love little houses, come to Greece. Nothing but little houses on the islands. My great grandma's house is smaller than that hotel room you were staying at. :P i love the funky noise that gold detector makes. lol I had no idea you could find gold in such shallow ground. I thought you had to dig a few meters into the ground.

  • @bukroot - Yeah, can you tell how much I love her LOL.... She's my heart...

  • I'm so happy with this video, and the time we had, I think I might mail the link to my business email list.... Bloody awesome time...
