I was born in the Territory of Alaska, and when I joined the Army I had to get a replacement document, which my parents said was nothing like the original. It was good enough to get me a TS clearance. As a former 97B, I know you need a trail of evidence to prove overseas birth.

He did provide a birth certificate, there is no proof that he was a citizen of Indonesia, the only proof people have is a student enrollment form, which does not at all prove citizenship. My son was born in the Philippines a US (one US parent) citizen. Before we left the country we had to fill out all kinds of paper work, including some for US passport. If Obama were born in Kenya, where's the paper trail? Where the Kenya or US passport/vista? Republicans could come up with at lease that? They can't because there is none. When one person says someone has committed a crime, and someone else says he has not, its the job of the first person to prove that a crime has been committed and that the one they are accusing is the one who committed it. @philk02 I'm one of thousands of Americans whose original certificates of live birth no longer exist, either in hard copy or on microfiche. I was born in the Territory of Alaska, and when I joined the Army I had to get a replacement document, which my parents said was nothing like the original. It was good enough to get me a TS clearance. As a former 97B, I know you need a trail of evidence to prove overseas birth.

He did provide a birth certificate, there is no proof that he was a citizen of Indonesia, the only proof people have is a student enrollment form, which does not at all prove citizenship. Plus the Hilary and McCain campaign both researched this claim and found no proof that he was born in Kenya. And on the date of his birth his grandparents announced his birth in the newspaper ads in Hawaii. All these claims have been disproven dude, its over.

You don't need to be born on U.S. soil to qualify as a citizen. When a parent files a claim for citizenship of a newly born son or daughter, they are given a list of qualifying criteria. You don't have to meet them all, only one of them. For instance, my daughter was born in a Japanese hospital, but she is my daughter and that gave her the right to be a U.S. citizen. She has registration, passport, everything.

My son was born in the Philippines a US (one US parent) citizen. Before we left the country we had to fill out all kinds of paper work, including some for US passport. If Obama were born in Kenya, where's the paper trail? Where the Kenya or US passport/vista? Republicans could come up with at lease that? They can't because there is none. This is how far republicans will go to disqualify a black President. You hear nothing about John McCain being born in Panama.

Probably because you are a US citizen. I know people who adopted foreign children overseas and brought them over here. They didn't do any paper work. They didn't use to check for passports for babies.

Uhh, yes. That's typically how it works. When one person says someone has committed a crime, and someone else says he has not, its the job of the first person to prove that a crime has been committed and that the one they are accusing is the one who committed it. That's pretty much the heart of being innocent until proven guilty- the accusers are the ones that must supply enough evidence to create a reasonable doubt. So far, you guys haven't done so.
