I went to the For Those about to Rock Tour in Toronto and it was amazing , the sound that was listed was 55 000 watts, those were the good days of concerts.
but chris slade drums on thunderstruck which is the one song everyone knows. he is a better skilled drumer regards drumming style but phil simply has his kit tuned better which suits ac/dc more so theres ur reason for phil being better
Chris is alot better drummer because he actually seemed like he wanted to be there i went and saw them in january and when i say phill with that cigarette hanging from his lips and he just looked like he was there for the money
@Raven1464 I have to disagree. Phil Rudd IS the drummer in the band, and the one that holds that rhythm section air tight. I am a drummer, and I cant even begin to tell you just how awesome he is. Yes, Chris Slade is a TECHNICALLY better drummer, but he just didnt have the swing that Rudd has.
i dont agree, i personally think that chris was better, because he stood out more in his drumming, and if your talking about musical feel, back in black could never be matched even if everything else was almost as good. And i think the new album lost the fast tempos and just stuck with the slow, they dont do anything like shoot to thrill or riff raff in their new album
I believe it did make a difference who the drummer was. With all due respect to Simon and Chris, when Phil Rudd re-joined the band, the ultimate AC/DC feel was restored.
not exactly it was malcolm, what I read was that those two were starting to dislike each other for some time and over a drunken argument malcolm fired phil
phil was getting more and more paranoid of his drug and drink abuse, he had break downs when they were touring and he saw things that didnt excisted. then he got into a fight with Mal (who'd had enough of his behaviour) and got fired
i dont understand y they dont like simon! not to say phill sucked or anything, but when i got into acdc i didnt even know phill was fired when i bought the albums after back in black! i thought they had the same drummer!!

You're right! It doesn't really matter who the drummer was, Phil, Simon, or Chris. Because it STILL worked and they still kicked ass!
