However, i'd have to say that Helloween is far more consistent than Gamma Ray. The last truly solid GR album (in my opinion) was Power Plant. To the Metal is by far the best recent GR album, but its no Somewhere out in space or Power Plant...

Change and evolution is something that they have handled exceptionally well through the years. I don't know how you can say: A) I love helloween songs, B) I don't dislike the style of the songs on Unarmed (i.e. pop), however C) I hate the Unarmed CD? Seems odd...

These guys are the best of power metal. I have been hooked for the last 3 months. SO many great melodic songs. Andi is thier best singer also. Gambling was a 10/10. 2010 new Maiden and Helloween.. the only thing that could be better is if Helloween tour the US!

I think there's not even such as Helloween's "style", not in the long run. They have some trademark elements, but the band has always changed completely. WoJ is the most speedy and energic album they've done, then there are more epic and melodic Keepers, Pink Bubbles that's completely something their own happy light metal, Chameleon that's about experimental epic rock album, MotR was the 80s hair metal album they never released, and so forth. Only recently (Rabbit->) they've become more generic.
