We felt the affects of the Japan quake the other day as well, so that's a great deal of force to travel that far across the ocean, and still pack some force. In Crescent City, CA, 3 people were swept out, 1 which never turned up.

@emmalou718 no one told me about the tsunami, and I broke my ankle days earlier, and was on crutches. It was a little far to jump on one foot. I ran for high ground the other day.
I'm glad you got video of the boat and hoist tearing loose. I was filming from the Chardonnay landing area, and could see it happening, but couldn't get any video. Kudos to the crew that chased down the floating hoist and kept if from ramming into any other boats before they could get it secured. They were really having to work against it and the current at full throttle in their inflatables.
