@betterinfos I hope you're joking. Ron Paul is agrees with OWS/Occupy movement, and shows in his actions and votes in congress, not just speeches. He doesn't interrupt the mic check like Obama does, he allows them to finish and asks if they feel better because he wants them to get their message out.

I think both men handled it better than the GOP candidates who're likely to WIN. Obama tried to get his fankiddies to quiet down... there were a LOT more of them than there were Ron Paul supporters and the office of US President has a lot of weight on it (even GWB showing up at a school got people excited-this symbolism is part of our identity)... so mic checking probably seemed to them grave as Westboro protests at soldier funerals."Do you feel better" feels condescending, though, and mocking.

I am actually amazed at how well Obama handled that. He seemed like he wanted his fans to shut up so he could actually listen to the criticism. He seemed entertained and wanted to allow it to finish. I can't help but respect that mans candor regardless of what his actions stand for at this point.
