I like the idea of the ice cold towel! If you want to increase your volume of lather add a few mls of distilled water. I use the brush to apply the lather to my face, it helps exfoliate the skin & feels good too. Vetiver & Mysore Sandalwood are my favorite essential oils. Thanks for posting!
@mokujingris1, I haven't quite worked it out yet, however I believe the addition of essential oils and shea and cocoa butters will enhance the creamy aspect of the lather. Although the simple recipe you posted years ago still yealds the most consistent thick lather.
The oils actually reduce the quality from the foaminess point of view and increases the quality of the lather from the smell, caring, soothing proprieties point of view.
Most outstanding video! Very interesting and innovative. Thumbs up to you, sir.
I will have to try some of you tips out.
One thing that I wondered about; the amount of lather that you produced, seem little condireing the amount of cream and soap you used. Do you think the oils/butter makes the lather more concentrated? Maybe the oils interfers with the water in the lather.
@mokujingris1 Another thing, I really noticed that your technique af applying lather to your face is much different from mine. I like to really work the lather in, it feels so good. You seem like you want to have as little contavt with the brush on your face as possible.
Shaving soaps are very good and convenient; however, I believe making your own shaving cream and überlather from scratch is the most luxurious method.
The problem I have with Uber lather is I can use Tabac soap or any other good shaving soap and fill up a whole big bowl full of lather in 30 seconds...So why do I need to add all this stuff first?
I can't help to feel like a caveman of shaving after this video...
