i like real wooden high chairs.. to bad ikea doesnt make the flame high chair anymore. the tray goes all around the high chair to help avoid food spillage and toys dont fall off unless they throw them.

Put the kid up on a cardboard box, use duct tape to hold the kid in place, and park it in front of a card table. Be sure to move the cards and beer out of reach of the kid's grubby hands.
