wow those things are slooooww. I guess it is similar to every other network storage device in speed though.. cant wait for nice 40 megabyte a second transfers that I know the hard drive can handle

Yeah I should have described the whole scenario. I was on my laptop which is connected wirelessly. The Pogoplug is wired to the router, but from a port in my kitchen. The router is in my bedroom upstairs. Router is a D-Link Extreme N Router DI-655.

so are you on a wireless network, or is it wired. cuz it seems kinda slow. and if ur on wireless is it wireless "g" or "n"

the drive connects to the pogoplug via usb. the pogoplug connects to an open port on your router. you can access the drive online or install a program that allows you to see it as a desktop drive.

what i don't get is how it's gonna appear at "My Computer" when it's not connected thru usb?!!!
