I saw an interview Gene Hackman and he said of all the movies/scenes he ever did it was this film he did his best work. Specifically the scenes where he's kicking smack he said was the best acting he ever did. Both FC one and two are masterpieces.

The French Connection had the best car chase ever, and this sequel had the best foot chase ever filmed. The hand held camera work here is especially good.

I love it at 3.08 as he's running across the junction, those cars were pretty close! adds to the realism. Gene aint letting him go this time!

I remember when I saw this movie for the first time, I had goose bumps, sweaty hands, my eyes were concetrated on the screen and voice in my head was saying: Come on Gene get that motherfucker!!! Dont lose him!!!

French Connection 1 and 2 best movies I have ever seen. Legend.
