I removed the mufflers, and welded the glasspack in place of the resonator up front right behind the downpipe. There's just pipe behind the Y... hence why it is quite loud.. :)
yeah i called a local muffler shop an they said as long as the cat isnt touched or the 02 sensor then i should be good. im thinking about doin the same thing to my 04 gtp, i just bought a 3inch downpipe with a magnaflow hf cat from zzp, so i would have a bigger dp, beta cat, and i plan on gettin 3inch piping thru to the back.
also, do you have a thrush glasspack or a cherrybomb glasspack. is it the 18 inch or 22 inch and how big is it. the only thing i would worry about for myself on getting a new inspection sticker would be the decible rating. is the car extremely loud with just the glasspack and no muffers?
It's pretty loud.. I've been considering putting down some dynamat in the backseat to help with the drone inside the vehicle...I haven't tested the dB's behind my car yet, but if I find someone with a Termlab I might have to find out! ;)
hmh... sounds pretty good- better then most of the well known mufflers sound. or maybe its just louder, how did u install it- u have 2 of them? i thought they wre pretty long.. like too long 2 fit in the short area between the tip and the bent from the y

does this pass emissions if you remove the mufflers, and just have one glasspack where the res is?

I honestly don't know, but i'm guessing it will pass, since the catalytic converter hasn't been touched...
I would ask a muffler shop before you start cutting.. ;)
I don't have to worry about it in Michigan, since there's no emissions testing.. :D

I believe it's a 22" Thrush..it's red..
